Every manager comes out with bizarre ****e, especially when they are having a tough run of results. It must be an odd world to be encompassed by football, when luck seems to go against you and superstition is rife. I do think it coukd probably turn a few people a bit funny.
I didn't like it when he was constantly going on about injuries earlier in the season either. Not because it wasn't true, but it can't have helped the confidence of the players and it just have them excuse to give a couple of percentage points less, to not have that edge and the ultimate desire to win that we had the last couple of seasons. It just have them an excuse before we even started.
Yep. Yes, there are issues we have to overcome and will make ot harder for us but just get on with it, moaning just sounds like excuses
Right no matter what happens today - please remember this team have given us an amazing few years There are many reasons why it isn’t going so well atm I agree with loads I have read Klopp and FSG have been fantastic - the moaning thing from Klopp is no different to any other manager any season and he does have a point. What City did with Everton was ****ty Everton were right to be upset and it did come at a great time for City However that has nothing to do with our form imho Sort ourselves out Try and finish first and hopefully
I'm quite looking forward to today. This is the sort of match we thrive on. It's going to be a turbulent season, I'd be happy with a top 4 finish, as I've said earlier, half your team out injured must have an impact on expectations. More than anything I hope we get back to playing good football.
its games like these in which we have produced not just results but played some good football and hopefully that may continue in a couple of hours.
Yeah we look toothless up against 2 solid banks of 4 (or 5!) recently - this game shouldn’t be that so game on
I see Kabak is on the bench instead of R Williams. I can see him or Phillips coming on to release Hendo inti midfield if required
Personally would have preferred Henderson back in midfield but i'm not surprised that he has gone the Fab Hendo route though defending corners could be "interesting" .
I'm hoping for / expecting an open game. We have to get at them as we need the win which could lead to goals but will also leave us open and vulnerable. They don't need it as much but will want to win obviously to make their lead more formidable and as a point of order/pride so they'll be looking to go at us, probably less than us on them, but when the opportunities are there and I expect those to be quite frequent
Could be the turning point for us if we beat them. They’ve not beaten us at Anfield for a few years now so there will be some pressure on them too. Curtis Jones playing is a big plus for us and shows our intent. Allison and Mane coming back massive. Let’s not be too cautious and go for it.
