I think a game like this is where you really miss a playmaker like Eriksen/ van der Vaart. Someone who can link that play in the final third and create chances against a stubborn defence. Kane’s trying to do it at times as is Lamela but you need Kane further up and I think with a real playmaker, Kane probably would’ve had a few goals by now. Should’ve already a couple though, mind.
Why are the BT commentators praising the WBA defence? We've created 11 chances and only poor finishing on 2 occasions has kept it 0-0
Reckon the reason why we’re not finishing chances is because once our lads are in the box and facing the keeper they’re then thinking “****, now what?”.
How's it 1 minute of added time? They've wasted more than that and had a player treated. Sloppy end to the half after dominating it, though.
0-0 HT. Positive performance, but frustrating as ****. Should be well ahead and we've wasted fairly easy chances. A couple of saves from the keeper, but we've not tested him enough. Need to get that final ball right early on in the second half and push on.
Domination against an utter gash side but failed to bury a few of our clear cut chances. Could’ve then gone in 1-0 down but for Hugo. Need to keep this up in the second and look to bag an early goal, longer we wait, the more we know what’ll happen.
Just need to be clinical, the 3 best chances have fallen to the man you would want them to, but for once he has failed to delivered. Maybe need one to fall to Sonny! More of the same coming up
