Going to repeat what said at half time. The arrival of Crowley has not helped us overall. People have been calling for McCann to abandon 4-3-3 but he has now done so to accommodate Crowley and the guy seems to have no idea how to play 4-4-2. Needs 2 forward working together. KLP left to try and win headers on his own. Wilks totally unsuited to it (or being on the pitch ) at the moment. But then as also said, we have left ourselves v short of forward options as when finally went 4-3-3 we brought on Magennis who also failed to control the ball and Scott who just looks completely out of it. Ultimately we gave away a goal but it was the tactics which which were all wrong today.
As Quill might say, I may get slated for this.... but as we stand I dont know who I want to leave the club more, the **** in charge of the team or the ****s who own the club... photo finish,...
Thank goodness in McCann you have a manager who knows this league well. Keep passing backwards if you've no idea how to get it to your forwards and hope for the best. What a way to make a living. Is the secret plan to stay in this division and keep costs down?
Bet you've mentioned to your friends and family that you "called it...." Couldn't wait to post it on here.... Its not about you is it.... Strange!
If every one of them were more talented than their opposite today then they only lack motivation and we all know where that’s meant to come from.
The arrogant complacency of some on here who thought all we had to do was turn up and win by 4 or 5 and then had the nerve to accuse Quill of 'whinging' for predicting the game like Mystic Meg. We should be beating teams like Burton by 4 or 5. We should be top of the league with some distance between us and the playoff spots with a squad like this. But we aren't, because our manager is bang average at best and complacency has cost us today and will cost us again this season. We have players who have potential but are playing ****e at the moment, like Wilks and Scott, and a better manager would be getting the best out of them, smoothing out the wrinkles and improving their game etc. It's just not happening. McCann's like a university lecturer with tenure. He won't openly admit it, but he's confident enough in his job security to the point where he's one-dimensional and completely lacking in ambition, passion and the motivation to get the team playing their best football and getting promoted.
We were simply clueless. Same tactics every week. Get down the wing, cross it to nobody, repeat, then do it again and again! Long is an accident waiting to happen, Coyle is slow on the turn and Wilkes goes missing against physical defenders. Very disappointing, but today's performance was not unexpected. Maybe we will raise our game against Lincoln, but I'm not holding my breath.
I'll be intrested to hear McCann take on the game ,and if he come's out with "i thought we played well but we're unlucky " ill go mental.
Are you talking to me Phil? Not sure why you seem so pissed. Perhaps you need to direct your ire at the manager or owners? And we all watched it together and I am the more positive one
Pile of ****e. One dimensional football. No imagination or nouse to change things around. What happened to KLP's hat-trick? ****ing shortarse. Wilks wants dropping for good the useless lazy no talent ****. Longs a ****ing liability and the lack of positive passing from the back is abysmal. Only George can hold his head up tonight. The rest need to take a long hard look at themselves and then tell Grunt to **** off. He knows this league apparently, well that's good because we'll be in it for a very long time with this useless ****er at the helm. Not happy.
