we needto be smart here, Burton players running to the ref complaining after every tackle, putting him under pressure.
Its pretty desperate when we are asking for Magennis to come on to hold it up .. given his performances of late
Dreadful half of football. Even allowing for the referee who is stopping the game at every opportunity for no apparent reason, we just dont look effective in attack. Elder doing his best down the left but his crosses are wasted as there is no one in the box to take advantage. Really need to improve in the second half.
Well, that was crap. We don't seem to know what sort of system we're playing, whatever it isn't working. Sort it out Terry!
Truly shocking first half. 1. We have changed to 4-4-2 to accommodate Crowley. Not convinced he's worth it. The team formation more important than an individual player 2. Front 2 isolated and winning virtually nothing. If we are going to play 4-4-2, one of them has to be a target man. 3. Lost width 4. Wilks shocking for 3 and a half games now. in this formation about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Every time the ball goes near him the attack seems to break down and he doesn't even seem to time his jump right for a ball in the air. Please, please change it at half time GM.
Absolute ****ing ****e. Just to remind everyone, Burton against the pack around us: Lincoln beat them 5-1 Portsmouth beat them 4-2 Donny beat them 3-1
Because every game Wilks has at least one first touch that ends up bouncing 10 yards away from him, usually several. He’s a young lad and clearly talented but he really does need to work hard at improving his ball control.
Different side, different manager to then. Should still be beating them but conditions can't be helping.
No need to worry lads .. McCann will be in there working on plan B ... making that plan A work at all costs !
We’re hardly turning the screw here, in fact lucky to be 0 - 0, George Long a lucky lad, twice. They are physical, out muscling us, but come on it’s Burton, not Barcelona, time for Grant to earn his coin.
