Yeah could be right... I suspect or have an inkling that when Donald leaves a lot of stuff about his various actions could come out, if KLD decides to spill the beans! Before Ashley took over, at the skunks, the previous incumbents did a lot of shady stuff... its not unknown in the football business.
The PA system was a joke last season, couldn't understand a ****ing word they said. They could have been telling 35k fans to evacuate because of a bomb but it sounded like wired for sound by cliff richard.
Had they been there another few years, I think the mags would have been in trouble. Ashley saved them.
They did sell it because they said the only person that was using it was Bain. Yet I remember an interview with Defoe and he said he had been forced to use it. Said he was reluctant at first but once he got used to it, it was the best thing he did. Made such a difference to his fitness especially at the end of the season when the opposition were tiring he still felt fully fit. Wonder if it would have made a difference in the run in at the end of our first season in this **** league, if Ross had forced the players to use it and we'd been half a yard quicker in the last 10 games. I remember reading Ian Wright's book and he mentions when Wenger came with his diet and fitness regime they thought he was nuts but said that played such a part in them winning titles, especially the last 10 games of the season, basically because the last 30 minutes of those games they just had so much to still give. Just shows what can happen when your club is run by professionals instead of cockwombles
We have still got them. They're what I have been referring too when I said they have been back on the last couple of weeks after being off for many months, if not longer and now the city glows orange on a night
Sam Allardyce brought it to the club and was big for the players using it. He managed the team so much better to prevent injuries than Moyes. I thought they got rid of it under Moyes to be honest as I remember reading about Defoe renting one at home. But they did mention getting rid of it as Bain was the only one so maybe Defoe liked it so much he got one for home. Look at the difference of Kirchoff under those two managers man, and to think Allardyce has the reputation of being old school.
Sure it was on STID2 and there was a scene involving SD and someone else looking at the club’s assets and they were stood outside the cryo thing. SD was doing his usual showing off part and making out he knew all about business stuff and if it never got used it should be sold, why have we got it etc etc.
I'm sure Wenger was questioned about some of his methods at Arsenal, I'm certain I can remember something about extracting then re-introducing blood into players to boost performance, and the legality/ethics of it. ?
If it's the lights for the pitch maintenance, they were bought by Murray a couple of years after the stadium opened.
I haven't watched it as I can't watch Donald making it like the office. But I do know it was mentioned about Bain. I thought I remembered Defoe getting his own so at the time presumed Moyes had got rid of it. Moyes clearly didn't manage players and their recovery to the levels of Allardyce.
