The lights were stored over by the old Audi garage but they always had them straight on after a match. The pitch is the no 1 most important thing. I hope they rip it up and relay it for next season and invest in looking after it. Wasn't the cryo chamber mentioned on STID when Bain used it for a back problem? I assume all this means the lift is still ****ed. Maybe that's what's holding the deal up.
Well Wrexham don't own their ground and wages must be very low so I guess for the takeover to go ahead they only needed to prove they had £250 and a crate of leeks between them
I'm sure we did way back when. The drainage and undersoil heating system was lauded as state of the art as well. Obviously not all Donald's fault as it would take a few years to get in the state it was the other week. It used to be relayed every year I'm sure, especially after the music gigs.
iirc, we probably have some form of floating pitch which drains very easily, then there are 'lights' to help growth which i understand may or may not be covered. Under ground heating of course. All this costs of course.. cuts I oresume gave been made 'trimming costs'. Underground heating has been around for decades. My dear old Dad who died in the 70s... worked for a firm who installed such heating, quite a few in this country and abroad.
Frankie Francis mentioned on the stream the other day that they had the pitch heat light things on whilst the we're commentating.
It lights up the city when they are on. Not noticed them for months, if not longer then all of a sudden there is a huge orange glow across the city again
Seriously though, it's a sign of how bad things have got under SD when we couldn't even afford to look after the pitch and turn lights on
It's embarrassing imo. Once this takeover is announced (or even now) there needs to be a full review of the SoL. Check the pitch, seats, bogs, tiles, turnstiles, doors, carpets and stuff in the corporate facilities. Check the ****ing lines in the car park are still there, who knows what these ****ers will sell if it's not nailed down.
Sounds like bollocks probably m8 doesn’t it? I mean there’s probably only a limited market for used pitch coverings
I don't think the pitch has anything to do with investment. We didn't have a pre season, as such, the pitch couldn't be managed as necessary. Lots of clubs have the same issue
