Great thread as usual RTB. Many Thanks. I don't think anyone can predict the starting line up with any degree of certainty. LJ has certainly got a selection headache for all the right reasons. There will be a few disappointed players who can't even get a place on the bench, but that's what breeds healthy competition and an upgrade in individual performance. Looking forward to seeing what a difference Vokins makes and would prefer to see Sanderson at RB. It's important for us to keep them out. As some have already said, they will be licking their wounds and will come out all guns blazing, but that might work to our advantage if we can pick them off and catch them on the counter. We need to pick the pacier players for this very reason imo. I'm going for a convincing 1-3. Wyke (2) and O'Nien.
Great thread as usual RTB, I always look forward to it the day before a game. Just played them and won convincingly and I expect something similar tomorrow, 0-2 or 0-3. Let's start to make an impression at the top end of the table and give all the other teams something to worry about. Ha'Way The Lads. FTM anarrl.
Kinnell he comes out with some corny clichés but I like him and he gets away with it imo. Very professional and thorough whilst cheerful and optimistic. What managerial witchcraft is this we find ourselves under ?
It's slightly unsettling isn't it ... ... smiling but you can see the veiled threat in his eyes. As with Stewart, you can tell he's thinking through every situation. By the time he gets on the pitch he'll know exactly what's expected. What I'm expecting is O'Brien to start which I'm sure won't be popular with everyone.
One poster often knows exactly what the team is going to be when it has been picked a couple of hours before it goes on the website
I don't care who he starts, I'm putting my trust in his judgement. Like he said in a recent presser there are many other factors behind the scenes that dictate team selection. And anyway, I'm not averse to O'Brien
Yes, he's very analytical it seems. I know we all want lots of players with pace but O'Brien is non stop and has contributed to lots of our goals recently. He's just the kind of player Wyke was missing imo.
Obviously there is a question about MK Dons pitch... being newish it should be a floating pitch with heat/lighting and covers, which we may have had at some point. But now according to their local rag will is costly to fix. The problem with our pitch iirc is that Donald sold off some of the kit!
Definitely kit not sure about groundsmen, that should be easily found out although probably a gagging clause. Donald may also have indulged in a bit asset stripping... I wonder if at some point all will be revealed.
Mk Dons fans reporting its pretty grim down there, heavy rain..Its looking likely that the match will be postponed on saturday. The pitch was awful on tuesday.... Fingers crossed it goes ahead but i just don’t see it.... Liam
