We won't want to lose another league game, so i think we'll go strong for this one:

    I'm going for:

    McCarthy
    Ramsey / Stephens / Bednarek / Bertrand
    Redmond / JWP/ Armstrong/ Minomina
    Ings / Adams

    Bench
    (Forster / Ralph / Kelvin/ Martin Semmens/ Gao / Kit-man Keith / Merrington)

3-1 Saints, 2nd half Forster headed hat-trick - you heard it here first!

Can’t we bring big Fraser on to mark Andy Carroll when they bring him on? Just tell Fraser to stick next to him and jump when he does and that should do it.

And Fraser, we know you are used to handling the ball, don't worry, we have some good news for you...just make sure the ball touches you somewhere else first, then you can punch it away or whatever you like really. In fact it doesn't even have to visibly touch you, so long as it comes close to looking like it may have glanced by you, oh and the other good thing is you can wear long sleeves and it can hit you on the wrist and not be hand ball, so practise your volleyball spikes too.

Couldn’t really ask for a better fixture than Newcastle, after what happened the other night; but then again, neither could they.

If we have to go with Tchaptchet from the start, at CB, I think Andy Elbows will start the game and try to bludgeon him into submission.
Another consideration, if Bednarek’s red card isn’t rescinded, is that he normally plays right side.
No way can we play Ramsay and Tchaptchet next to each other, so I guess the smart move would be for Stephens to move over and be the experience supporting Ramsay and Bertrand the experience to support Tchaptchet on the other side.
Might have an impact on how far forward Bertrand goes, in support of the attack which could unbalance the high press.

Please Tchaptchet just step in and be an absolute fortress of a defender. Not bloody likely though is it. How many teenage center-backs do you see playing regular in their first team? Wingers, you can get away with the smaller and more fragile. But not CB. Seriously crapping it that Newcastle will put 4 or 5 past us. Ralph needs to tell the defence; when in doubt, just f*cking hoof it. No bullshit. Attack is the best form of defence on Saturday, so we might as well dabble with some long-ball.

He just needs some simple coaching.

"Now Tchaptchet, when the ball comes right in front of your head. ****ing head it. And dont miss it. Like you did with the diving Martial behind you. Who then scored. Yes, that right, then one from 1 yard out. Yes i know Martial isnt playing today, but sub him for Andy Carroll. I know you cant sub in a player from the other team. Oh ****ing forget it. Fraser, youre playing CB on Saturday."

Ralph has a job on his hands getting a team fired up for another cold miserable trip up north, it'll be like taking that first fart after diarrhoea.
If we can take Callum Wilson out of the game, Newcastle will be buggered.
After Brighton winning it is looking more and more like Fulham or Newcastle for the other relegation spot and Newcastle are away to Fulham on the last day of the season. I just hope we can help put Newcastle down as Fulham is a lot easier to get to next season.

Strange that the press conference is at 4pm. They're usually earlier, aren't they? Maybe they've pushed it back knowing we'll get the Bednarek decision this afternoon. Surely they can't announce it the day before the game (tomorrow).

I think neutralising Shelvey will be on Ralph's list of do's and dont's.

As an added bonus to some of you, this will be a massive embarrassment to Mike Dean who still thought it was a foul and red card after watching it several times on a bloody screen!
