I'm with you on this one. Our last game of the season is against Fulham, you just know the loser of this match goes down. It's written in the stars...
I think we play Sheff Utd the game before. Lose that and we may be at rock bottom going into the Fulham game. Having said that from what I seen of Fulham yesterday they seem to play nice football but they lack the cutting edge.
We shouldn't be anywhere near relegation. The squad isn't amazing, but it's better than this. What it shows me is Ashley and Charnley believe we have a 17th placed squad, which blows my mind given the money spent on Lewis, Wilson, Max and Joelinton. It only serves to show how little regard our execs hold for the club, that they're just not bothered, seemingly even about relegation. There's deep issues in that club. Bruce is Pardew mk.2, a convenient body shield happy to be a punching bag because he's that ****ing arrogant nothing sticks.
So we're 10 points clear and have been playing so well that fans are no longer concerned with injuries to Wilson schar and Manquillo. So surely we're all now happy with the progress Bruce had made and the job he's doing it's entirity? His decision to appoint Jones has been a good call that deserves credit imo... Or am I missing something
I agree I think we're all aware that a relegation battle is the future for this club under Ashley. I do genuinely feel sorry for Bruce because I think he's doing fine. I mean it was looking like it was time to go and I wanted that a few weeks ago, but he's brought in Jones and turned it around. It can't be easy all the hate he's getting it's like anything he does is wrong even when he gets it right. At this point in time I think just saying well done more of the same is appropriate.
I'm sure he was involved and it's worked.. He said he chose him and that's all we know mate. All this crap about him sending Jones to the stands and taking snapshots of one nanoseconds activity on the touchline and drawing conclusions from it is silly.
Bruce wins over Chaos whos hated him longer than anyone after just two performances of semi competence. Captain Flipflop at it again
Not really a case of winning me over just think seeing as we're doing well it's no longer an issue. Credit where its due If people are going to criticise when things aren't it's merely he correct thing to do.
To be honest people like this are just acting the twat. We clearly have momentum and have had a breath of life thrust into our play. That's a typical Newcastle fan just looking for problems. Hanging on every word to whinge like a little bitch. Club could do without these people. They sound more like Mackems.
There’s been a significant improvement in the last 3 & 1/2 games. Second half Leeds. Whole of Everton. First half v CP and the first of yesterday’s. The 2nd half against CP was frustrating we didn’t score and SB tried. Yesterday we came out 2nd half and pressed the self destruct button which seems to be a common thing which suggests to me SB team talks are not motivating them. The early goal (needless foul) and the sending off are inexplicable and you can’t actually blame SB for individual mistakes. Collectively after that the lads gave their all. This is the thing. Remove the mistakes and give your all and that’s all we ask.
I want Steve Bruce to do well. Mainly because he manages the club I love, but also because there's still a part of me who'd rather be managed by someone who grew up in the area and understands what it means to the fans, than some anonymous foreigner who is there for the paycheque and to attract the attention of a 'big' club. Now, that doesn't mean I think for much of this season that he has done well. We've been dire for large parts of it, and a lot of that has to lie at his door. But the last few games have been different, and any fan's default position, given even a scrap of hope, should be to get behind the team. I think we might see more of that if St James's was full and people were cheering the team on. All we can hear now is the moaners on social media, which gives a skewed perspective on things.
I think Bruce has two team talks, one is the hair dryer, which I think is why we went through such a long period of only scoring in the second half, and a calm reassuring team talk, which is why we always come out so sluggish and off the pace second half when ahead. I think his lack of tactical awareness is a problem, but he has stumbled on this new Luton formation, which is going very well. The injuries are a concern but, the **** can you do about that. My problem a few months ago when things were still going alright, was his age and lack of ambition. Those continue for me, I'm desperate for a younger man to takeover and have some real love and passion for the job.
