Just in case you're still one of those morons who says "offside is offside" - a United boot is literally over the drawn line:
We really should appeal that card, but believe me it would not surprise me if ‘by the letter of the law Mike Dean is correct therefore the decision stands, 3 match ban’ Once St Mary’s is reopen to us all, we need to give Lee Mason and Mike Dean a lovely warm welcome on their next visit. v Newcastle right now assuming the ban stands I think it will be: ———————-McCarthy——————— -Ramsey-Stephens-Tchaptchet-Bertrand- ————-Armstrong—-Prowse————— -Minamoto————————-Red/Djen—- ——————-Ings——-Adams—————- We are down to 1 Senior CB, 1 Senior FB and 1 Regular CM, if only there had been a transfer window in January to help us fix things up....
Over the coming days and weeks we are all going to experience some tough times. Right now, the fact that we are now a team that has been beaten 9-0 twice seems like its just one of those things, but as time passes you can expect to feel a lot of different emotions and its best to be prepared and have a plan for how to deal with it. Some of you might find fresh air and a walk in the woods will help. I've got a corner of a dark cupboard where I can go and curl up. Just remember that this probably isn't ever going to go away now. If you were struggling with the Leicester 9-0 defeat being mentioned every week for a year just get ready now for whats coming off the back of this one. Be strong my friends, together we can make it through.
Join me in my gallows humour. Football is just entertainment (apparently), and in the grand scheme of things doesn't really matter. Sure I'm gonna enjoy the good moments, but If you can't take the piss out of your own club at moments like this, then it's time to re-evaluate your life. Any adult who allows themselves to be wound up by some guy they don't know, on the internet because of sport, needs to stop being so sensitive. @Tel , do your worst buddy (if you're not banned).
To be fair I think with the injury list, the closing of the transfer window and the build up to this game there was a certain inevitable feeling that this game could be another 9-0....or was that just me? The question is considering we have no money to buy and given these are the same players and manager that have lost 9-0 twice can it happen again..........or worse?
Well yes, it can. But it's only 3 points. Even Liverpool shipped seven in a single game this season, with all eleven men on the pitch. It's what happens over 38 games that matters.
I'm changing my prediction of 2021 FA Cup final winning goal scorer, from Shane Long, to Wild Al Jankewitz.
True. We did go on to beat Leicester away to even the points up. It's worth remembering that football didn't start in 1992. Liverpool beat Palace 9-0 in 1989. Man City 10-1 Huddersfield, Second Division, 1987 Fulham beat Ipswich 10-1 in the 1963-64 season. West Bromwich Albion 12–0 Darwen (First Division, 4 April 1892) Nottingham Forest 12–0 Leicester Fosse (First Division, 21 April 1909) There. I feel better now.
Haha, good work. Look at the Indian cricket team a few weeks ago. Bowled out for 36, and still went on to win the series, in Australia! Being an average team that makes up the numbers, there is actually very little expectation, or pressure, to do well. All those glory-seeking teams up the top, suffer humiliation week-in-week-out when they lose to the likes of us. And all they get is a shiny trophy to look at every few years.
If we can get Bednarek's red rescinded, then we can come away with something from St. James'. If not, then I expect another defeat. I feel Tchaptchet is going to be like a rabbit in the headlights. Anyway, we get a two week break from the league after that, so hopefully we get Romeu, KWP, and Vestie back. Then we kick on.
