I feel for them, psychologically it is so tough to lose a man before the game has taken any shape and we have to defend deep when we usually defend from the front. Injuries, confidence and maybe a touch of deja vu are all contributing right now. My blue line is already drawn.
To be fair, in this instance, with our bench, there's basically nothing Ralph can do. Other than rest Ings.
Exactly- I sat down tonight completely relaxed. I genuinely thought we’d get a good hiding tonight and then the sending off just took all the anxiety away for me. no matter what now, it is what it is. As laces says, take the ****. Move on.
Can we take Danny off? seems crazy having him running about when the match is just a lesson in survival
I do agree that Ralph can be slow to change things when things are going badly, but at the moment we really don't have any options to be able to change it. This game was always going to be a stretch with the players we have available. The early red in a position we have no cover has made it impossible. This game is lost. We need to be thinking about resting players now because we still have an intense run in of games with only a handful of fit first teamers.
Thank goodness Ralph has more about him than our fans. He’ll come back from this. We’ll come back from this. Just not today ;-) I wonder if they removed Jankewitz from the dressing room at half time for his own safety.
Need to defend for our lives second half. Project defend. Guess we are minus goal difference now! Or will be soon!
He may not be able to change players as such, but surely he should be able to coach a bit more about shape front he touch line. When we have the ball, the movement is so poor tonight, that we keep giving it back to them. I know it is harder with one less player, but it is part of Ralphs job to stem the tide.
Best case scenario, Utd ease off 2nd half, it's still 4-0 on 90 minutes, we get a consolation goal. And 4-1 looks almost respectable.
Another disgusting half of football when down to 10 men. I really don't understand why we throw the towel in so ****ing quickly. Where is there ****ing pride? This season had so much promise at Christmas, we had a chance to really kick on. A paper thin squad and the worst owner in the Premier league has ensured that just surviving in the league is the ceiling of our ambition. **** Gao Gao out
I'm not one to advocate violence but I hope every single one of them toe that stupid **** in at half time.
