The ODT is a sham. The Burnley takeover is proof. The Saudi's have the capital to buy us outright without having to service debt. They have the capital and nous to help us grow. They want to invest in the local area. The PL by passing the Burnley takeover, has just lost any legal argument they had.
Obviously I misunderstood what the O&D's test was all about, I thought it was too protect the club from dodgy intentions and not just people with prior financial shenanigans. But obviously if the new owners haven't done anything untoward previously they will pass. Burnley are absolutely ****ed long term though, be down in League One in a few years.
Think it's telling there has been rumours picking up that there will be an announcement that the arbitration has ceased for whatever reason and the takeover will be approved shortly and now you have this coming out. EPL do not have a leg to stand on now. They can't force PIF as a legally separate entity to S.A. as a country to do anything about the pirating and stealing of TV rights - that's nothing to do with them. Everything else is in line on the ODT so it's now a matter of trying to find a way to keep the "big six" happy before announcing the takeover.
In the situation we don't get a takeover from PIF, we should go for Dyche and finish them off. Save ourselves for a couple more years until a new buyer comes in for us.
Exactly they've got one or two players we could take too. We can deed of the fallen essentially and just stay in the game until a takeover happens.. We've got to be ruthless
The fact that Nick De Marco has got wind will add fuel to the fire. He can argue that the PL are acting unreasonably in relation to NUFC given the debt tat Burnley are taking on. It's happening lads and lasses. Expect something before too long.
