The transfer window closed yesterday and saw no incoming players for Leeds United.

None of us should be surprised as all the noises made by the club were that we would not be bringing anyone in this window. Would you have liked to have seen a new face or two come in?

Rodrigo has posted on his Instagram page that he has suffered a "minor setback". Hopefully this means his injury is nothing serious and he wont be out for too long.

Errmm, cant think of anything else. Respect to Ell for coming up with these each days by the way.

I would have liked to have seen a proper left back come in.

Agree with Gessa that a left back might have been useful. Considering that we're likely safe now though I can see why we would wait until the summer and perhaps get a better deal.

Glad to see we are watching Romain Perraud. I'm not too fussed if we end up with him or another LB but it at least shows the club are serious about strengthening the area.

    Morning,

It's good that there were no incomings. Now we're more or less safe already this season we can see if a few u23's can step up. Gives a chance to see if the likes of Huggins, Cresswell, Geldhardt and Greenwood etc can bridge the gap.

Plus with a lot of clubs in financial meltdown, by the summer they'll be even more desperate for a quick cash injection by offloading their star players on the cheap. It'll be a buyers market for well-run clubs on a sound financial footing like Leeds.

It's a bonus to have virtually achieved safety from which we should reap the rewards.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Seems we did try for a LB but Brest refused to sell...... yet, si gave Romain Perraud a new contract which will put the price up in the Summer. It seems this is the player Bielsa wants and will wait to get him. Top performer top stats in all departments as well as scores a f ew goals and many assists.

Roberto Martinez the Belgium National Manager has asked Pascal Struijk to chose Belgium over Holland. Now I think thats a real accolade for the lad because Belgium have been World No1 and are World top 3 side. Pascal has played Holland U17 but as he has a Belgian mother he can chose either.

Still no news yet on Poveda but obvious we will be reshuffling the pack yet again, and whoever said it was correct when they said Bielsa still hasnt put out his strongest team yet, due to injuries.

Phil Hay reckons 2 signings are already almost done for the Summer: Romain Perraud at LB and AN Other to cover for Phillips and Rodrigo, so a De Paul or Pulgar type

Apparently Derby were quite persistent in getting Tyler Roberts in during January but were sent packing.

The upside is that Derby might have a big pot of cash in the summer due to a takeover and we might get a good price if we decide to let him go.

Apparently a Leeds fan phoned in Talksport and suggested that Bamford is better than Firmino. They do a similar job but Bamford scores more goals. The pundits (Darren Bent) basically laughed at the idea.

Thing about Talkshite is they always manage to find the nutters with the most controversial opinions on. Hell, they employed Mike Parry for a lot of years.
They had a guy on calling for Bielsa to go after the Brighton loss I think. They recorded it and plastered it all over social media which gave them big hit numbers, this is what they are after.

I imagine they would have had, lets say, 10 Leeds fans ring up. Nine would be praising Bamford while also be being sensible and downplaying his achievements. The the 10th ****nut rings up with this wildly outrageous opinion and a producer somewhere gets very excited.

Is Mike Parry the guy who tried the cinnamon challenge, because that's the funniest thing I've ever seen?

After the last 15 years or so I still can't get out of the habit of reading a sentence like this and assuming it's sarcasm.

Yeah like we’re living in a parallel universe

other things I never thought I would here:
    • 4 points off top 6
    • 15 points clear of relegation zone.
    • Bamford makes Premier League Team of the Week AGAIN
    • Struijk wanted by both Holland and Belgium National teams

Last season we win promotion to the elite level in Academy status and due to outstanding performances on the pitch we win the league and also the National trophy. Our first season playing in the elite level sees Leeds Utd U23s now 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League 2 Div 2. On this form we will be promoted again o the top league and the elite of the elites. Wow
