He's had a few balls in that you might expect him to win, but he hasn't.

Austin has played well imo. Held the ball up and linked the play well.
Kane has at least looked like a professional footballer tonight, although his crosses are always hit and hope.

 

Much the better side, with,as usual, very little end result.
You just know they'll pick us off at some point.

Phew got to half time without conceding. Better than expected at 7.45. We just need more of the same second half.

 

Much better today from him. In fact, everyone is playing well apart from Ball.

Ball was so good last season. I don't know why he's dropped in form so much.

 

Decent half by us but then it normally is & then collapse but hopefully not, Watford there for the taking

Fair play ... the team had a good half. Lost our way towards the latter of the half though. Some good cameo roles through the team in that half from Kane, Dickie/Barbet, Austin.
It will be the team that makes the right tweaks at half time that could take the game.

Oh and their Hughes is an annoying ****er.

 

Agree Ball’s control has cost us breaking on couple of occasions

 

Bonne hasn’t really done anything wrong nor anything right. We’ll probably need him to play the whole game anyway.

 

Good first 30 mins, they upped it in last 15 mins. We need to maintain it and we've got a chance here...

 

Watford are very solid defensively with exceptional centre backs.
But for another fantastic save from Dieng, we'd be undeservedly behind.

 

We were the better team there.
Todd has played a very good half, but imagine if we had a player who could take players on when we have them under pressure instead of what Todd does, i. e. chuck a hopeful ball into the box.
Charlie and Bonne is not the same as Charlie/Dykes. I don't think either player has passed the ball to the other once in the whole 45 mins.
As SPB said: Willock for Bonne. (not that I want to critise Bonne, but ...)

 

Watford fans will be a little concerned with that half , I think - nerves and frustrations may play a part in the second half if we continue to go toe to toe...

 

I thought he has been doing an effective job. MW must really dislike Kakay. Kane will never take on anyone and the amount of crosses hitting 1st man is embarrassing. Yes put in 2 good balls but they from 30yds out anyone can do that. He needs to be past the last defender but can never do that. Wallace on the other side exactly the same miles to slow so defender knows ge will never take him on. Chair only decent player on the pitch Watford are crap. Predicted 0-0 or a 1-0 to either team cant see anything past 0-0. If only we had a bit of exciting youngsters in the team other than Chair

 

No he hasn't, but him and Charlie are not interacting.
