Cold enough for snow in London, but it looks like we’ll probably miss it. I suppose I should be grateful, but I do love the snow (through my window anyway).

Too much standing water where I live in Dorset, so went for a long walk with the family. Loved last spring the roads were so quiet and riding each morning before work was fab

    @Toss saints

I’m an ignoranus!! Just realised what Jogle is :) That’s amazing. My mate is doing it in September and asked me to do it as well but I’m planned to be away with work the same time. I’m hope to do that in the future.

what distances do you normally ride? My longest is 67m, so I’m pretty confident o can do 100 miles but Jogle is approx 100 miles everyday for 9 days... that’s tough going.

Fantastic achievement and yes, if you are 1970 then we’re about the same age, although my birth year doesn’t quite start with a 7 :(

We did Jogle in 14 days riding on average about 70 miles. We carried all our own kit so that adds another 2stone + and slows the average speed.

I actually did my longest ride to date on that trip about 85 miles from Loch Lomond to Leadhills.

We made some bad mistakes, booking accomodation with a tough climb at the end of the day when we were knackered.Towards the end of the journey my legs were done, I struggled going up the stairs in the hotel.

It is one of those trips you enjoy with hindsight. At the time some days were dull, particularly Preston down through the Midlands. However, the Highlands we just absolutely stunning.
If you do it, make sure you take plenty of Chamois cream, as things can get very sore. If you are riding around 60 miles now, with a bit if training you will be fine.

Mostly, I do rides anywhere between 20-30 miles, quite socially with my mate who I did the ride with. It was some achievement for him as he is over 20stone, but about 6 foot 6

an amazing achievement and on my “want to do list”

weekends I’ll do 30-60 miles depending on conditions, available time etc (been harder to do beyond 45 in the cold) and in the week it depends on free time with work. Try to do 3 out of 5 days in the week and anywhere between 15 and 30 miles. Today I did 16 miles, but one day last week I only had time for 10 miles.

going to be ordering a smart trainer soon

    Bring on the warmer weather!!

Mrs B received a text this afternoon, from the GP, asking her to book her first jab.
    Going Wednesday for 6 pm.
I was hoping, as her primary carer, to be offered a jab at the same time but I haven’t. Not too worried about having to wait a bit longer as hers is more important and we are being boringly sensible about isolating.
We have to go to the Adelaide Health Centre, off Tebourba Way, and not our local surgery, so we get to go out twice this week as Mrs B has a CT scan on Sunday morning as well. We know how to live. :emoticon-0178-rock:

Followed Mrs B's and your story for a long time without having the originality to say something that wasn't already said, but having 2 close friends with life threatening conditions who also have received invitations in the past few days, I feel able to empathsise...
