And the replies to this, Bristol City fans aren't happy with Nahki. Imagine him and Charlie up-top for the rest of the season?
Warburton: Osayi-Samuel should have stayed at QPR please log in to view this image Mark Warburton has reiterated his belief that Bright Osayi-Samuel should have stayed at QPR. Both Warburton and Rangers coach Neil Banfield previously told West London Sport they felt the winger should sign a new contract for the good of his career. And manager Warburton has not changed that view following Osayi-Samuel’s departure for Turkish club Fenerbahce. He said: “I think I made my thoughts clear in that I thought Bright would have benefited enormously from another full season at QPR - to get that consistency of performance and to keep on learning. “He’s a very young player with tremendous attributes in terms of pace and ability. “But it’s a steep learning curve and, when you take these moves - and he and his representatives are well aware of this - the pressure grows significantly. The spotlight on you intensifies significantly and you have to deliver. “I always worry about young players because that learning and development is so important. “Sometimes you can miss one or two lessons, which comes back to bite you further down the line. “I hope very much it’s a good move for him and that we see him back in the UK at some stage at a really high level. “But it’s a very, very tough learning curve - have no doubts about that.” Osayi-Samuel was in the final few months of his Rangers contract and rejected offers of a new deal. At one stage he indicated he was ready to re-sign, but the uncertainty over his future continued. “It dragged on far too long but not through QPR’s fault. Certainly the club did everything possible,” Warburton insisted.
At somewhere near their best that would be great. But we've seen Nahki both in great form, medium and pretty awful, so I imagine he'll come good again, score a few more with City, and stay there a while longer.
So a busy day.... What do we think... One in ( who) One out (Lumley,?,) Nottingham Forest hold themselves in check and only sign 4 new players. Our match is on Sky ( never a promising prospect) And the January Window closes. Better charge up my phone...as thanks to the flooding in rural Bucks I have no house internet for the 3rd day
Transfer deadline Day used to be exciting I remember one year Watford and I were pretty quick off the mark with the news. We had loads of comings and going’s at QPR but I can’t even bother these days.
It’s a rare example of the club doing the right thing by not relenting to spanners on social media and spending crazy money on a depreciating asset off the back of a three week purple patch. Well done the club.
I wanted to see Dan gosling come in however he signed for watford permanently. Danny Rose cannot get into spurs team so maybe loan till end of season. He keeps his fitness we get a left back...however would he want to come in? I do wonder whether forest will come in with a concrete permanent offer for lumley?
I read that his move to Turkey fell through. Pipe dream that he'd come here - if we were going to offer Spurs a £15k p/w contribution to his wages I'm sure someone like Swansea/Bournemouth/Forest would double that and he'd go there.
Seems very quiet. Looks like we are going to be light in central midfield and without a quality wing back for the rest of the season.
