Anyone think is time for a Saint Ainsley thread? Couldn't help but picture Ainsley Harriott in a Saints kit when writing that
I think the media are just totally wumming us 90% of the time. I see Dem Gray has gone to Germany. I never saw anything in the media about that until it had happened. Saw **** loads about him coming here there & everywhere (PL) tho previously. It’s a joke really.
There was a fair bit in the media about Gray going to Germany actually... AMN would be great business if we can get that across the line. Really great.
AMN would be a very good addition if we can get him in, and at this point we need to get someone in that can cover RB and LB before the window closes. Has there been any news on KWP yet? King for Long seems like it could work for everyone too if it's true. King knows where the goal is (something that our other attacking players don't lets face it), and seems like a better option than Long at this point. Wouldn't increase our depth, but would be a more useful option than Long has proven to be this season. I wonder if out latest 3 injuries on top of how long KWP is out for will have allowed Ralph some room to maneuver with the board over bringing bodies in. I know we're not suddenly going to have money to spend, but loan and or short term deals could presumably be an option.
Never before has a tweet had so much truth. You can’t sign players just because of injuries. Not realistic.
I understand the logic of Valery and Vokins going out on loan if we think they have a future at the club. They need to be playing competitive games regularly without the pressure of the PL. But it is a bold move considering we are going to lose depth and our squad depth is already bare bones. It makes me confident we are getting in AMN though as the full back loan will need to be able to cover both sides. Of course if we end up with both Bertrand and KWP out at the same time we will still be up **** creek though.
Well Valery seemed to be like 4th choice at RB. JWP started there over him then Djenepo came on instead of him. Still he is a reasonably experienced player being allowed to leave an already stretched squad so yes I’d say it looks like we hope to bring in a couple. Or we are super skint and want his wages gone
Not sure it does. Willock has featured 7 times in the PL this season, 5 times from the bench, so hardly a regular. If Arsenal class AMN as a midfielder, as per their website, they have: Saka, Ceballos, Odegaard, Partey, Elneny, Smith-Rowe & Xhaka as remaining options. They then also have Willian, Pepe, Nelson, Martinelli and Nketiah who can play as wide midfielders/attackers. Granted not all are fit, but I can't see why they would block Maitland-Niles leaving. Arsenal also rumoured to now be in for Van Aanholt from Palace.
Isnt that just domestic loans? If the Firpo stuff is true I don’t think he would count under that quota
