I'd be gutted if I was him to have Costa bought on before him.
Phil Hay tweeted tonight that we have turned down a move from Castellon who wanted to sign him, so he must be in our plans

 

In our plans for this season as we may need him depending on injuries but bet he will be going back to Spain in the Summer

 

I read that this morning, I’m not Pablos biggest fan this season but with 10-15 minutes to go I’d much prefer seeing Pablo come on than Costa. We will need Pablo to start next game with both Rodrigo and Raphinha out injured or we’ll have no creativity

 

I don't read much into Costa coming on instead of Pablo. It was probably a physical thing. Barnes and Justin were bombing on down that side and Pablo doesn't have that pace anymore.

Costa was dreadful with the ball but he was well disciplined defensively and stayed quite deep tracking multiple runs and helping to see the game out.

 

I had it in my head that Pablo either owned or part-owned a Spanish club, & that's where he planned to retire. Was it a dream?

 

Yep Pablo and his ex team mate from Valencia bought Castellon in 2017 but had a fall out with the club in 2019 after winning back to back promotions, so both left but are still shareholders. Castellon are now in the second tier but in real danger if relegation back to the 3rd tier
