So the EFL want Sartori and Donald to guarantee they’ll fund their 26% of the club alongside a billionaire or it won’t be passed, but then the alternative is those same two if they can’t prove this is rejection of the sale and they will be left to fund 100% of the club... and this would be better according to the EFL. Doesn’t make sense.

Sounds like the EFL are getting their own back on the terrible twins for being screwed over when they bought the club

Uk govt stepped in to smooth way with prem league and keep saudi's happy. No evidence, just expected it since it failed initially

Yep, it sounds like utter ****e

I dont believe for one minute the recent changes at the club would have been put in place without a new owner, then the EFL suddenly come up with this, its crap KTF

Definitely, “Fool me once” and all that.

If only they’d been a tiny bit as cautious two and a half years ago we could’ve been spared those two arseholes embarrassing themselves and our club.

It's quite amusing watching how quick some people are to latch onto this as gospel.

Yet they question a statement from the new owner despite all the new appointments.

Almost as if some people are only content when they're miserable.

I believe I'm right in saying its separate from the fit and proper persons test. That's normally pretty much a formality unless you've got something criminal in your background. Passing that doesn't automatically mean the EFL will approve you though, that's where they separately request information about the business plan and ensure the funding is there etc.

That being said this can only be a formality as well really. If SD and Sartori don't confirm they'll fund their part then they'd have to fund the whole thing if the takeover broke down, so I'm sure they'll agree to it. I think it's a positive if they're having to commit to it, even though I seriously doubt Donald will be around for two years to prove it.

Can he not involve this sovereign wealth fund from Abu Dhabi that now own 40% of their business?

That's a reasonable enough assumption but I seem to remember a few years back when supporters could purchase shares in our club it may have only been a small percentage of the club but as minority shareholders they did not have to provide proof of funds as this is only required for major shareholders. So I am with the this is bullshit squad. It may be that KLD is asking SD and JS to stump up their fair share but I think the delay is probably the club waiting for transfer window to close

The article says partners. Who is to say that KLD has other backers as has been alluded to in various posts and these are the partners the EFL wanted details on.

This is what would happen. Dreyfus can provide the funding to run the entire club but Donald and Satrtoris shares would need to be diluted if they are unable to provide their share of funding. or sell up. Strange no mention of Methvens share.

So let me gets the right all Nixon has done is explain the new process while clearly saying its not a snag and it won’t fall through and it appears there may have been a bit of a meltdown from some
