But he already owns 74% and the EFL were happy with their checks and balances to allow him to do that.
Aye I’ve got muddled up there I mean the way Nixon has worded it it doesn’t sound like its hit a snag, dunno if that’s just wishful thinking on my part or not
There's no way SD isnt going to agree, the whole reason he's held on to any shares was so he could cash in on them when we get back to the Premier league He can't run the club on his own so if he doesn't agree to it his only other option to sell up completely which he doesn't want to do. At first sight I thought it was the EFL being knobheads but after thinking about it, it probably is standard practice to make sure everyone involved is taking responsibility for their share. Also we don't know that this is actually a hold up, we know how **** they are, this could actually just be the final stage that they have actually just gotten to
I think it’s sometimes difficult to see the bigger picture with tactics watching on the telly, when your in the stadium it’s far easier to see what they are trying to do.
Nothing is done till it’s done nothing ever surprise me with this club and nothing is ever straightforward.
Again I don’t know if this is just me clutching at straws or not, but I’m hoping the checks have came back okay and this is just a very recent thing to get ironed out
Is this the efl saying that SD and CM have to be able to guarantee that they can provide funds to the equivalent of their share percentage? If its as simple as that I see this as a positive. Means they don't get away with putting nothing towards the club but maintaining the benefits, means if they can't or won't put in KLD will just get more ownership of the club. If it is a slight snag I'd be more than happy to wait a little longer to have that resolved though disappointed its took until now to decide it even though we have all been talking about exactly this for months
Bear in mind Nixon only gets space in the paper on sundays as well. This may have happened as far back as last Saturday. And by “happened” I mean he could have found out about it that long ago. It could have happened weeks ago.
I dont understand this current takeover snag story. If KLD has shown proof of funds and theres no issues with him taking majority control how has the commitment over the next 2 years from two minor share holders created a stumbling block? Is there an issue with KLD accessing his money over the next two years with it being in trust?
KLD was EFL cleared weeks ago. His appointments have been made. All shareholders have the same obligations with or without interference from the EFL. The takeover will happen.
Fit and proper test is in full below, theres no mention at all of these 'conditions' Its total bollocks as far as I'm concerned. Edit... I wouldn't read the whole of of this. https://www.efl.com/-more/governance/efl-rules--regulations/appendix-3---owners-and-directors-test/
All that and Nixon’s just posted saying he doesn’t think there’s a major problem, cheers for that update mate
They can't afford to fund the club, this could work out better as like you say they may be forced to sell up totally. Fwiw I reckon it's bollocks anyway.
