I think it's bullshit but I am starting to wonder if there is, some hitch as it's taking a while

Unless of course he gets the lot, which I’d have thought he’d prefer rather than having the fake kidnapping twat hanging around.

I don’t think it will be an issue given he has not invested little of his own money so far, and he passed the test based on a controlling share.

If this ends with KLD having 100% then it’s brilliant and the EFL can be applauded for pushing for it.

Where's @Prehab26 when we need him?

What's happening, mate. Should we be worried about this or is it a non-starter?

Donald & Methven are bound to fund their part of the club with or without the EFL being involved.

With the takeover they'll have considerably more money than when they bought the club.

    Therefore there's no issue.

If there's no takeover they'll be struggling, as they themselves said, to continue funding the club.

There's no chance the EFL will block the takeover.

If there's any truth in the report it's simply the EFL showing off.

There’s also the chance that this is true but actually old news from earlier in the month that has been resolved and is the “dotting i’s and crossing t’s “ that Dave Jones referred to. Especially if new contracts need to be drawn up to deal with any change agreed with the EFL

The only good thing, to come out of this, would be Donald and Methven selling up completely.

Louis-Dreyfus is going nowhere, too much has already happened.

Also for the sake of it going through I'm sure Donald actually has enough money to fund 15% of the club for the next 2 years anyway, there will be nothing to say that he has to just that he guarantees that he can

I hope so mate, there’s already been good stuff happening while he’s not official. Imagine when he’s actually here. GTFI.

I’m not sure the EFL can request that ? All have passed the owners and directors test, and why specifically 2 years ? Sounds a bit suspect.

So I surmise there is some last minute hiccup in our takeover with the EFL?

Meanwhile the mags takeover by Saudi may be back on?

    Happy days....

That’s it, it’s not like they would have been checking in on us if a billionaire wasn’t about to leap on board.

It’s laughable like but as posters have said, this is the EFL, the same EFL who denied us a shot at promotion and then hamstrung us by going for a rigged vote for the salary cap. Also wouldn’t the two years be when KLD will have direct access to his own funds

It better be bull, know the EFL have made the test 'stricker' since due to the numpties they have let own clubs. but none of it makes sense, pass SD & JS couple of years ago with 100%, possible reject them reducing shares....which would mean they still own 100% (as good as) & have to fund the club (potentially) with no further checks!!!

Thought the noises from ITKs was it had passed EFL & just final negotiations to be completed.

Daft thing is, obviously hopefully it wouldnt mean KFD pulling out, but it might mean that SD has to fxck off totally without a choice as his only other option would be to stay with 80% which he cant afford to do

As things stand the two clowns can't guarantee to fund the club over the next two years.

    It's a non-story.

If the agree to these 'EFL demands' today they could renage in a few weeks time ...

... WTF would the EFL do then, close the club down <laugh>

Surely he’d just refer to Donald and Sartori as their names like he has done in the past if he meant them, the72 article has just put two and two together
