Docherty - the amount of tackles he makes and times he wins the ball in CM is brilliant Greaves - goal saving interception like his today is as good as a goal at the other end Crowley (easy 1st if game had stopped after 30 mins)
1. The Doc ... never stopped from 1st to last minute .. deserved the goal and was unlucky not to have another .. great performance. 2. Honeyman .. although not at his absolute best still had the energy round the park and linked really well with Crowley .. would like to see them when Crowley is up to speed. 3. Burke .. steady comeback and unlike Greaves at times today knew when to hit it long or play the easier short ball
1. Greg Docherty (Great performance battled hard in the midfield and deserved to get the winning goal) 2. Dan Crowley (Brilliant ball that led to Doc's goal and always found pocket of space) 3. George Honeyman (His usual effective self picking up another assist) Think I'd rest Wilks on Tuesday. Wasn't effective today. KLP wasn't as effective in the second half but all in all, a good team performance
Docherty Elder Burke Mention for Crowley who looked like running the show until we changed our line up. Sometimes he seemed to think too fast for some of our players.
Docherty - Best game yet. Great goal, never stopped running. Honeymonster - Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Indestructible. Elder - Strong defensively and always a goal threat with corners and crosses.
I only managed to watch the first half so cannot really express my opinion on who was in my top 3 but I would like to say something, there must be some player at Birmingham that is keeping Crowley off the pitch because he is a quality player in my humble opinion. I realise it is just league 1 but his close control and eye for a pass is definitely championship level. The pass through to the honey monster that led to the goal was brilliant. He is gonna be a real asset to us over the remaining games....
Think some guy called Toral is keeping him out of the team? Actually thought they were rather similar. Hoping Crowley is less injury prone.
From the brum mail TORAL 4.5 Worked OK on the press, trying to set the right tone and might have won a decision when he was impeded as he was about to shoot from the edge of the area. But too often to lackadaisical in possession. Doesn’t sound like him at all!!!
He's a lightweight, flat-track bully who flatters to deceive - he was ok when things were going ok; along with Lopes he disappeared in matches more often than Harry Houdini. No great loss.
