That’s the problem when you stop the game and over examine everything to the point of absurdity. Much better imo to let the officials make decisions in real time, using their eyes, their experience and their judgement.
You see it your way. I see it mine. the fecking refs don’t know half the time so how you think one of us knows better than the other. you can keep coming back at me Schad. It’s a ****ing penalty in the game I love
He's not - he's trying to help explain why the decision was given. It's annoying for all of us, but Tom's completely right, VAR merely tries to help implement the laws of the game
Anyhow, we’re playing really well. They’re defending really well. One day, when we find our scoring mojo, we’re going to give a team a serious tonking.
So, you’re telling me that if by some miracle Mason had given a pen, VAR would have overturned it because it was a clear and obvious error? Because they wouldn’t have, and you know it.
I'm not "coming at you". I'm pointing out that they made the right call based on the rule as currently constituted, because they did.
It may not have for you but if you think that's true for everyone then you need to open your eyes mate. It won't be covid keeping fans away at this rate. We managed for a century with accepting mistakes and getting on with it. It wasn't broke and by attempting to fix it they've broken it to the point that it's turning people away from it. It's not football anymore.
Just a thought. Without VAR we don’t get that penalty either, because that useless lump didn’t see it, so...
