No it's the fact the "goalscorers" don't score the goals when they get the chances. The way we play creates more then enough chances. I don't know if it's an available stat, but I bet we are almost the top team for chances created.
5 points clear of what? We'rw 3 clear of Donnie in 3rd place, they've got 3 games in hand. Yes I know points are better, games in hand have to be won, etc but I can't imagine they'll not pick up 3 or 4 out of those 9.
Yes, but some as per some need to find something to complain about and put down our chances of success
I totally agree, it was awful. I'd like to think this team would put their hearts on their sleeves and play their guts out. But watching us, we don't feel fluid. The feeling I had last time we were in this league was that we could win against anybody we came up against, so I went into games really confident. I don't have that feeling this time around, coming up against the likes of Burton and Swindon shouldn't be a bother, yet these games seem to be more difficult than playing higher teams. It might be that these teams set up to stifle us, but by this point in the season I'd have expected us to have a plan to cut through parked buses and we don't seem to.
If we continue to play like we did today, winning one nil and containing the opposition to one shot at goal we will be promoted as champions, which in the history of Hull City is a very rare deed and one to be celebrated.
We average around four shots on target a game. If you take into account goalkeeper performances, it's not exactly something to get excited about.
If you're looking at the one I posted, that one is a bit wrong... It's the goals scored that it shows, not the points.
Yes, but we were playing 22nd placed Swindon today. They're god awful, holding onto a 1-0 lead against them is all well and good, it wouldn't work against better teams. But then apparently we suddenly become ten times better when playing top 6 teams so **** knows.
Five points clear of Lincoln, after two bottles of a rather nice red. Would you rather we were in Donnys position and they were in ours?
