    That isn't for certain. They didn't want to sell him in the summer but a year on and he still hasn't made his impact - if we offer £15-£20m (depending on performances) then they might cash in

    I'd expect him to be good at that level. Very good crosser, but his defense isn't good enough for the PL at this time.

    But from experience, that combination plays in the Championship/League One. We can well remember Danny Fox, who was a good Championship LB for us in our promotion season, but got utterly roasted in the PL. Left us and played many years more in the Championship, where he didn't have to mark David Silva.

    ...and he's now playing in Kolkata, apparently. Huh.

    AMN would be a superb signing for us. I can't see that we could ever have let Voldemortkins go without having it all lined up. Except Saints...

    You can see the academy has taken a knock with the results, never the same after Dodds and Connor left and Jaidi took over...hopeless but we are in a new era now so should be confident that we will get back on track

    Why do you feel we could muscle our way in front? Is that Saints tinted specs you're wearing?

    He would likely be 1st choice in Turkey, playing European football, at one of the bigger teams in the league, and every chance they will pay him more than we would.

    And Turkey is a lovely meal at Christmas.

    Honestly that seems a bit more likely than AMN. Does fit with the reporting that we were looking across Europe at loan options too.

    I’d prefer to have AMN but I can see why he’d prefer to go to WBA. He’s desperate for more minutes as he feels he’s stalling out. He’d be a big improvement to their team in any of the positions he plays whereas it’s unlikely that he’s displacing Diallo, Rom and JWP in the centre and we’re not dropping our current fullbacks to make a regular spot for him. He’d be picking up relief minutes and that may not be his best option, even if it does mean joining a lower team instead. Either way, we’re clearly targeting (and hopeful of getting) a versatile defender on loan. That’s what we needed most so I’ll be happy when we find out who it is.
