Confidence will be soaring within the team. I'm going for a 3 0 win and 10,000 mags turning up to support the Gills just like they did in the play offs.................

It changes much more quickly in this division.

Portsmouth were top, at Christmas, after beating Hull and were 7 points clear of us ...

... they've just had two bad defeats and we can go above them tomorrow.

Shrewsbury were supposed to be the in form team and we beat them. Ipswich were going to put a performance in 'for the gaffer'. Now we have to be worried about Gillingham. Well bollocks to that, I'm not interested in fretting about every 'tough game' coming our way.

    4-0 to Sunderland <laugh>

Talking of fantasy is anything as bad as My Little Pony cartoons that I am enduring atm.... perhaps the game tomorrow, good to watch but dire, if we win I couldn't give a monkeys

I think we've played some very good football, in periods, over the last few games. The goals against Shrewsbury and Ipswich were excellent team efforts.

I agree we've had some poor periods, in certain games, but I don't believe we're as dreadful as some have it.

I can definitely see signs of improvement but as Johnson said when he came in, there is loads of work to do with the background structure of the club nevermind getting the first team right. The state of the pitch the other night was embarrassing; I knew there were cutbacks but had no idea that so many corners had been cut.

I think we will produce a very competent and clinical display tomorrow. The feeling of positivity coming from this board and others surrounding the new signings and the appreciation of the improvements in the overall team as well as various individuals, due to the coaching and also the attitudinal approaches from LJ must sweep across the team also. I'm going for a 2-0 win to the lads without our goal being ever threatened. When a team has belief and they play to their strengths that confidence of "you'll score none and we'll score one plus another one" gets positive results. I also think the fact that we have two new additions to our squad will give that further impetus

I reckon in some games we have been dire, but have not lost and usually drawn...against Lincoln we were the best this season.

Goals make all the difference if others can join Wyke in scoring and we get more than 1 goal.. we could well be on the way..
But we need a winning streak soon, why not now.

Also let's hope we make these signings and they come good.

Think Vokins may start - I get the impression Johnson thinks of McFadzean as a bombscare.

I know he's not a fan favourite but I've been really watching O'Brien and, have to say, I'll be surprised and disappointed if he's left out. He totally occupies the centre backs and doesn't let them settle when they have the ball. He pulls defenders around, when we're attacking, and is always ready to receive. If he keeps improving the way he has we could have a real asset imo.

Was he signed in time to play today? What's about Jones as well?

Totally agree. At home I think we should go 4-1-3-2 where the emphasis is on attack. AOB next to Charlie, Jones & Diamond down the wings with Gucchi behind the front two. Admittedly we lose a midfielder there but we have a solid back 4. I am sure O9 plus Scowen can be a decent midfield.

Cheers, I did wonder as they were both announced after the deadline but that doesn't mean much as to when it actually happened.
