After the Crewe game (4-1) things have just got interesting. Graham and Dempsey have always been our outstanding players, but results before Crewe were pretty dire. However, the addition of Lee and Slattery have changed the mould. They've add that extra dimension to the team, we lacked with Oliver up front. Before Crewe, I would have said we were going to get stuffed, but Christmas has been and gone, and here's to an even happier January... Sunderland 3-3 Gillingham (Lee, Graham, Dempsey) Hoping for a thriller.
Wow did we turn up on Tuesday and again I say it, hopefully, better things to come. BUT we are Gillingham FC and things never go to plan. My mate Grant Leadbitter says he is confident a home win. The Cats struggled against 10 man Ipswich but have an awesome record of only losing 4 games all season albeit 10 wins and 9 draws. I hope we turn up again and as of late doing well against teams above us as appossed to those below us. Apart from the FA Cup we do not hold a good record against them only 1 win since 1987. 4 draws and 8 losses. My head says a DRAW. But my HEART says?????????????????????? Nice to see we're scoring goals, but from the highlights I saw of the Crewe match they gave us at least 2. Can't see Sunderland defending as naively Sunderland 1 - 1 Gillingham (McGeady - MacDonald)
