Or there's the other option that Radz is pursuing - buying a feeder club & use it for developing overseas kids (in part, obviously).
It still reeks of exploitation when you're asking young kids to relocate at a young age, especially when so few actually make it.
If you asked me at 17 to move to a foreign country play footie and get paid I would have jumped at the chance. Exploitation? Not like your sending down't pit.
Hear what you're saying, but it can also be viewed as offering opportunity! I'm quite sure their family will have given them 'the talking to'.
As we all would este. Unfortunately few make it and the vast majority have to go back home one or two years later with their tails between their legs. It's far simpler to just go to your local club(s), keep your feet on the ground and hopefully that stops you being a billy big bollocks to early
I agree, but seems nowadays everyone wants a quick fix, like all these bollox tv singing shows, they didn't tour the country in a trannie ( OLOF and friends it was a vehicle reference, calm down) van looking for gigs, no, sing a song and your the next big thing. Question is if your kid was given the chance would you say stay at home and play for local fc or go and do your best?
If it was my kids I’d want them to travel este As far away as possible. I’ve tried selling the little fckers on eBay but no takers.
Obviously depends on the opportunity at the time. As he's very good at his studies that's something I'd be adversed to interupt...however if Barcelona came a calling then we'd all be off to sunny Spain for some sun, sea and sangria...plus he loves patatas bravas so it's a no brainer
One day milky...hopefully in the not to distant future Nothing can be worse than a night out with a pissed up WJ that's for sure
Remember when we all wanted Sylvestri to go back to Italy, well when Christiansen got rid of him it turns out he was wrong. In Italy they have 2 Teams of the Season, one half way through called Mid way team if the season and guess who is in goal?......... yeah, shame. Sylvestri, Berrardi and Antonnuci were the best of that Cellino aeroplane load he brought in
Silverstri was always a good shotstopper, but a bit flappy on crosses. He was hopeless with the ball at his feet, so unless he’s improved exponentially, it likely depends on the style of play as to whether he’d work out for a given team. He’s a nice guy, glad it’s going well for him. I always quite liked antenucci which appears to put me in the minirity
Good to hear, he had an awful time getting back to fitness after that terrible injury at the end of the 2015 season. Fair play to him.
