I think he will get a lb in, a striker (probably the lad from Ross county) and an attacker on loan from a prem club (under the wage cap). Grigg will go and Graham hopefully
just went to the Northern Echo and its as you say a left back and striker just pasted the article on the transfer thread if you fancy a read
Not a bad selection, I might swap Neil for Maguire as he hasn't looked at all interested when he's come on
I think Neil has been injured but I completely agree about Maguire, one good game followed a string of stinkers, he is the worst team player ever to don the famous stripes.
I thought Leds looked poor. Maybe rest him and leave Scowen in. Winchester although poor the other night needs a run of games so we can assess whether he is any good or not. Embers is a positive attacking midfielder but at the mo is a bit like Watmore and doesnt know when to release the ball. Regardless it will be a decent 1st 11 with a bloody good bench. Very very difficult to leave O9 out but maybe he isnt up to 90 mins yet.
Lee Johnson: Speaking at today’s pre-match press conference, the Head Coach provided the latest team news ahead of Saturday's game. “Bailey Wright is well - he’s in a good place but he was mildly concussed, so we’ll have to take him through a series of tests physically and mentally,” Johnson said. “This Saturday might come too soon regarding the protocols, but we will leave it up to the doctor.” If he is unavailable, it could pave way for Dion Sanderson who has featured nine times in Sky Bet League One since his summer switch from Wolves. He continued: “Dion has been good. He’s been consistently good in training and I like his personality. “Every time he has been called upon, he’s done extremely well. He is a player of high talent and potential."
Need an early goal. Or else these lot will just ****house their way through the rest of the game with that fat mess Evans in charge.
On an earlier post a Gillingham supporter told us about his team and the three danger players they have all operate on their right. This means McFad will be the defender (LB) getting the majority of attacks coming at him. This scares me. Otherwise we are fine. I hope there’s some option to buy this new fella from Rangers, he sounds the business. Don’t know anything about the striker from Ross Co. except that they are the lowest scorers in their league. Wish we had more Onions. He’s a top bloke and would be my first name on the team sheet. Glad we’re getting the Tripe out slowly.
Shame it looks like Wright is out - means Sanderson has to come in at CB and McFadzean can't be rested. Reckon it will be: Burge Power Sanderson Willis McFadzean WInchester Leadbitter Scowen Gooch O'Brien Wyke Subs: Matthews Younger O'Nien Diamond Jones (hopefully) Maguire Graham
My team would be:- ....................Burge............. Power..Sanderson..Willis..McFad ................Leadbitter............... ONien..........................Scowen. O'Brien.........Wyke......Gooch.
Flanagan is back isnt he. If he is fit I would prefer to have him at LB ahead of McFad. Both not the best in that position. If they are attacking from the RHS I would also leave McGeady out. He isnt good at helping out at the back.
I have always reckoned it is his defensive liabilities that have meant Mcgeady has not always played more at the highest levels (not his difficult character). Attacking he is often our best player, but as to helping out his full back hmm.
