SD will have zero say now, like. Pretty sure we’d accept a 250k bid for him

I wouldn't give a **** if we didn't get a penny for him, the biggest thing is his wages, we could sign at least 4 players for his wages

For his actual wage but him going only releases a fraction of that because of the salary cap if over 21.

Suppose it will all depend on how much of his wages Shrewsbury are going to pay of his wages

I've said on the other page. Grigg is the ultimate never wanted to be here in the first place player. Signed by PR men that had visions of 30k plus (as we ran away with the league) Sunderland fans singing Will Griggs on fire, even better if it was at Wembley.

I wish him all the best as he came and put on the red and white. However it's clear as crystal that the bloke didn't want to be here from the off. Reminds me of Borini the 2nd time around. The team is crying out for Pace and power, two things I believe LJ will be working on.

With such innovation I'm surprised he doesn't climb the ladder in this job.

Because he was signed before the salary cap was introduced, he is only counted towards the cap at the league one average c£1800 a week (he will be on 4 times that), therefore by loaning him out we only create space in the salary cap for what he was contributing towards it (£1800)

This is why we are probably looking to shift a couple (Grigg and Graham) to bring in a striker as a established striker would obviously require paying more than the league one average.

The left backs they seem to be linked with are all under 21 therefore would not contribute to the salary cap.

You could make the argument the left back is equally needed as Fadz keeps costing us points. All the goals we concede come down our left. I actually think he’s having a detrimental effect on Bailey at left CB as he he’s constantly being pulled out of position to cover Fadz. I notice Willis shifted across to left CB when Sanderson came on, shows how much LJ worries about the left back

He hasn't accepted a contract and terms but they've offered him an extendable.

I think part of the left back problem is McGeady as the left back is never sure of his support.

For me, if aiden players he should be a second striker. We must get pace out wide. Get Gooch or diamond in alongside obrien and Wyke. I'd rather we signed a pacey RB than a LB. Hume is big talent and once he's back we need that balance on the right.

He’s not back for another 6 weeks at least, there are 2 games a week from now on. We can’t wait at least 12 games to sort the left back situation it’s more than half our remaining games.

Fadz is a liability whoever is playing in front of him. Positionally he’s appalling and he’s so weak. He was no better when Gooch came on. He’s never over on the cover

He isn’t a left back, he was signed as a wing back so he didn’t really need to defend as had Flanno just covered behind. And Bailey looked far more comfortable with someone solid behind him

Nixon doing the old Donald wink

looks more and more like announcement imminent (by that I mean it’s ready and could come at any point but they may hold off for any reason we’ve debated)

Will it actually make a difference if this takeover is announced at all. To me its pretty bloody obvious that somebody else is now pulling the strings at the club. Unless there is some form of benefit to SAFC to a takeover being announced I couldnt give a flying one if its announced at all.

I agree, the deal is done and dusted but won’t be announced until next week to stop potential sellers upping their prices for average players.

Under normal circumstances I would agree but with the wage cap and spend restrictions I can’t see how this would be detrimental with the announcement. Unless I am not quite understanding the system other clubs must understand legally we can only spend what is allowed.
