Off topic gents, but I've just fried two thin pieces of steak, sprinkle of black pepper, topped with a smidgen of melted cheese, all on tiger bread.

I feel slightly better now after Englands defeat. <laugh>

Missed the racing so far as busy outside but came in for a cuppa and saw the Dewhurst. From a completely unbiased viewpoint I would say that was a shocking ride by Moore. Nice to see a Teofilo colt do well though, especially out of a mare by Montjeu.

I know its a subject that has been broached many times. But how long is Sheikh Hamdan going to persist with that useless twat R.Hills? In no way shape or form did Hills look like he wanted to or had the physical strength to get Ekithaam involved.Roger Varian must be seething every time Hills sits on one his promising horses.

It is nothing short of disgusting that he gets to frequently ride horse of that calibre and persistently comes up short.

With someone so passionate about racing and with huge resources, Sheikh Hamdan ought to sign up a new jockey.

I think richard hills is one of the worst jockeys riding today but he couldnt have done much with ektihaam. The horse took a serious pull today and simply didnt look up to the class of the others, remeber he was stepping up from a conditions race - and the form is not exactly holding up from that race. Another point is that the trainer did say the horse would have prefered a bit of rain, i wouldnt give up hope just now and he could develop into a good middle distance horse next year under the right coniditions but i dont think richard hills can take any sort of blame for the horse running a shocker.

No point in richard hills beating the horse black and blue when its going no where just because someone on a racing forum has £10 or £20 on it.

Well done to the Massive Owls beating little old Chesterfield. We will get revenge in the home game. By the sounds of radio deedah we were rather unlucky not to get a point

That lad you have from Stoke sounds a player. I think you are for a promotion party this season, with Megson putting so much solidity in your team you won't have too many Stevenage results. Still hope Huddersfield top the table mind!!

Next weekend will be fun for you.

Im all in favour of a horse not getting whipped to death Hardy. But my point is at no time did Hills ever try and give it a chance. So it pulled,it wasnt exactly pulling Hills arms out of his sockets. These professionals are paid very well to do a job to their best of their ability. Did R.hills do the job to the best of his ability?Answer.Probably yes because he is fkn useless. If you think he did all he could have done and that no other jockey could have done any better, well that's your opinion.

And incidentally my original post was as a casual observer as i bet about twice a year! And today wasn't one of those days.

Guys,Hills is not my favourite jockey but that horse wasn't good enough and there was nothing in his profile to suggest he would be.EOS.

anyone know where i can see all of today's races online for free??

also, to anyone who saw the 4.05 at york, how close was Racy? I really fancied this horse to run well since his run at Haydock but the danger with these large fields is that there's a few that are just too well handicapped. Nonetheless another 3rd = payout on ew but nothing to get too excited about. Beer tokens but not a holiday <laugh>
