I agree but some are very misguided and think this takeover not being announced is hammering that.

It's not. It has nothing to do with it.

    Long game.

Maybe they might wait until the transfer window closes to announce it. Less pressure. If it gets announced in the next day or two there'll be a massive clammer for them to get the money out to sign players before the window shuts. Even though the salary cap is in play.

Anybody think it’s already done but we’re holding back until the window closes because if it’s announced before then the asking prices of players we want will go up.

    *Just noticed your post Billy.

I'm unable to add anything to this now.

I was told, point blank, that this was all done over a fortnight ago. I posted that the new owner wanted all of his appointments arranged so he could come into the club without having to play catch up. The suggestion was that he wants to appear when the whole team, including one more appointment, are with him, that would have a real impact.

I don't think it has anything to do with picking up transfer bargains, the timing of the announcement for the media, or anything else.

The delay has simply been, in my opinion, the logistics of people moving around, especially between countries, to arrange things. I'm sure no one would want the new owner flying into one of the worst affected countries in the world just to make an announcement. Nor would it look good if he just sent a quick video message from his pad in Switzerland.

The club is running quite well, the manager is getting on with things and we're obviously trying to get players in and out.

Donald and Methven are nowhere to be seen. All in all very much as we want and a massive change from the 23rd of December.

Ignore the loons claiming it's all falling apart, it isn't.

Has anybody heard KLD speak before? It’s completely irrelevant and unimportant but I’m fascinated to hear his accent. Having lived in the UK for a few years and going to private schools in Switzerland you’d expect his English to probably be better than mine.

I've years of experience in that world, speak fluent French, know people KLD would know, etc.

I'd have been up for that job if only I wasn't stuck here in SW France ...

That lad on RTG who is saying he knows a close friend of SD is still claiming this

was told the original agreement was for Juan to double his investment to 40% and for KLD to become the majority share holder with SD retaining just a small amount. The paperwork was submitted to the EFL and expected to complete mid-Jan. I was told Juan changed his mind after all of this and only wants his 20% so a new agreement had to be sorted which has caused the delay. It will mean KLD is majority, Juan retains just 20% and SD the rest.

If true SD has gone from the rumoured 6% to 20%. Wont go down well with a few that

I thought SD was always keeping about 15%. Juan 20%. KLD 59%. Methven 6%. That was what was reported in the papers over a month ago.

It was true that JS was going to take an extra 20% and changed his mind, that has nothing to do with SD shares though and it was all sorted long before going to the EFL.
It was months ago that JS decided not to buy more but from what I heard that was due to the fact KLD wanted total control.
The information I was told was the hold up initially was to do with the shares SD wanted to keep a hold of but it wasn't necessarily how many but the fact he want to put a value on them now if we were to get to the Premier league.
Supposedly the share split will be.
    KLD 59%
    JS 20%
    SD 15%
    CM 6%.
This split has been mentioned by quite a few people so I'm confident the information I was given is sound.
This rumour around JS is all old news and was sorted long before going to the EFL

    I think so mate

At first it was 80% for kld and Sartori, kld then wanted majority that was the hold up just before Christmas

Louis-Dreyfus said he would walk unless he had total control.

That was the 27th of November.

Anything else is interesting but irrelevant.

It's only the 'no takeover' brigade who are obsessed with share percentages so they can prove themselves tight in their own minds ...

... no matter how tiny they may be.
