Left back Kwadwo Asamoha, Ghanaian International - a free agent whose last club was Inter Milan. I'm sure we were linked with him a few months ago, so may just be a rehashed rumour. https://sportsworldghana.com/exclusive-kwadwo-asamoah-appears-on-watford-radar/
Our last signing from Burnley has been a bit of a dud - and he was getting regular gametime with them.
For me, Garner shows a lack of maturity. Sarr, a few times this season when we have been winning late in a match, has gone on mazy runs with the sole intent of keeping the ball. Garner will throw his leg at it instead, aiming for top corner but lucky to get top corner of the stand.
Definitely a petulant youth. When he thought he was coming on as sub last night only to told to sit back down, his face said it all. I've seen that look in many classrooms.
Yes, I saw that. And ‘petulant’ is right. Be a professional, do as you’re told, understand that it’s part of your job, and shut the... up; not necessarily in that order.
I see someone has suggested a swap deal with Gray & Vydra. Very doubtful but I would accept if they also paid a couple of million to balance the deal!
Looks like we are going to get an experienced 3rd choice keeper to cover whist Foster is out . Rob Elliot.
Most football transfers are paid in a series of instalments over a period of time. I suspect - from what I have read - that this may be a case of the Rennes' President wanting Watford to pay the remaining instalments (owed for the transfer of Ismaila Sarr) earlier than they were originally scheduled. Rennes appear to be in serious financial difficulties because of the collapse of the French television deal with Ligue 1.
This guy is in a position to negotiate a free for next season. Since this came up i imagine that we are trying to get him half a season early for next to nothing whilst the player will not sign for anyone else. If he doesn't come now, i expect him to be with us next season.
