Daft as this will sound I could see him scoring plenty in that side. They play the sort of game that would suit him and you could imagine him getting confidence back. I actually hope he can get a move and score some goals. That said I dont for one minute think Rangers are offering any sort of fee, if indeed they are making an offer at all...
Not to sound controversial or anything but has Grigg not performed here because we've never played to his strengths. He had a half decent record before he signed here. I'm sure you'd agree that we seem to have a history of just buying players randomly. Instead of to fit a specific system or tactics. I'm sure he'd do well if he went there.
Agreed, and that's probably because we chop and change manager so much, that at least some of the squad at any one time, don't suit the current managers tactics or formation.
There's no chance Rangers would be in for him. They've just paid a few quid for Kemar Roofe and also have Morelos. Not forgetting Defoe who still thinks he has another one or two seasons in him.
I've given him chance after chance. Every what if there is but it's just never going to work. For me it all boils down to the fact hes never wanted to be here. Never looked like he was willing to graft and his confidence was shot the second he missed that open goal in front of the north stand. A striker with no confidence is as much use as a wet paper towel
There might be a little but of not wanting to be here. But I reckon at first he would of jumped at the chance to play here. I still think tho, that we've just never played the style of football he needs.
