I wouldn't call Wolves away "luck with the draw!". We have won twice without playing all that well.

 

It's better than Liverpool/Man United, Chelsea, City, Spurs, Everton, Leicester and West Ham (they're in good form and we just can't beat them).

Without repeating what I said yesterday about commentators, just this, Southampton is a very long word and isn't as punchy as Ars-en-al. TV people dictate who gets famous or ignored happens in all walks of life. GREAT RESULT THOUGH, well done Saints!!

At only the age of 24 it’s frightening to think how good Jan can become. Unbelievable player.

 

I had Jan down as my MOTM - he was excellent!

 

Really good player, fortunately he has a new contract so if one of the big boys were to make a move ......he would bring top dollar.

 

First half was stunning and should have gone in a couple up if we could sort out the final ball
Second half was hard work and some of our players were running out of steam to put it politely but we have nothing on the bench to boost the performance. As said before our spine was so strong Bedders & Sttephens then JWP & Diallo were all excellent

I agree with Ralph - it was a penAlty on Long. Bednarek MoM for me - I can`t think of a better penalty box defender in the league than him.

 

Oh this is doing my head in. Everyone happy with a 1-0 win against a poor Arsenal. Where's the spirit of the 1980's Archers Road whine gone? "Cor Channon was off it today" they'd cry as we came away from battering someone 4-0 and Mick had only scored twice. Bunch of bloody snowflakes. Come on, moan, whinge and be a Saint!
