I’ve come to the conclusion that in fact there’s no takeover at all. The way Bruce is acting, what he’s saying, is to me a bloke who has a job in this division or the one below. When I woke up to the truth, I think it looks to me that Ashley is only after cash into the club. Because he’s run it so badly, our revenue is heavily reliant on match day unlike many who have been ok with tv money and commercial deals. Commercially advertising is still fairly strong, but our only advertising is with his tinpot shop, which he’s not paying going rate for so we’ve been hit. PIF aren’t involved anymore due to global uncertainty and whilst Staveley probably remains committed, and £30m of Reuben money is quite likely, there’s no £200m cheque from Saudi waiting the PL approval. I also don’t think the club is currently worth £300m or more, as I’ve said many times. It’s probably worth around £220m, at best, and the debt needs negotiating. So in summary, Mike wants compo, there’s no buyer, he’s going to wait it out again and deal with relegation cos none of it means anything to him. If I’ve learned anything from Ashley, it’s that just when you think it can’t get worse, it almost always does.
It's probably all just coincidental, but the timing does make you think just maybe he's on his way here... Of course there's plenty of othe clubs that would be after him you'd think
