Absolutely hilarious:emoticon-0100-smileI remember clearly making a statement to OLM in which I disagreed with what he'd said...Your answer '**** off' even though it was absolutely nothing to do with you!! You then posted a you tube video which once again urged me to **** off? You set the standard then and there!!

MLK was anti violence and for peaceful protests. The extreme element of the black movement disliked him as much as the rednecks.

Yup. My great-great grandfather and his brother died in the same battle in 1917. Their names are on the plaque in Paragon Station.

Still doesn't change the fact that WWI has little to do with football. Fortunately for me, it's not one or the other. I think the lives of men who died in a horrific war and black people are equally important.

There are some sad people who can' take it and have people on ignore but always read posts having a go at the person they have on ignore and give them a like. Sad.

Think you are missing the point.

Personally I wish a lot of countries in Africa would start to think Black Lives Matter.

The two rules No Politics and No Religion are fine but there is no way it can be written down, it's not black or white. As has already been said what some find acceptable others won't. By and large the mods do a decent job, I certainly don't see a need for any of them to be de modded.

A third and often forgotten rule on here is the don't be a **** to other posters rule, not sure why but at least twice in the past week flare ups have occurred when the 3rd rule should have been flagged up. Posters shouldn't have to rely on the mods to see this, they should see it themselves. Just because they have a title doesn't mean they are exempt, we are all just posters on a forum.

As this thread is proving, the mods are in a no win situation. Just my opinion but I think the they do a cracking job in an unenviable position.

Also without them we are ****ed.

Well done guys :emoticon-0137-clapp keep up the good work.

And now let the arguments erm I mean discussions carry on.

Personally I wish my great-great grandfather and his brother weren't sent to an early grave leaving behind two widows and seven kids between them in a pointless, horrific war between bickering empires and royal families, but here we are.

It seems like some people would rather carry on the conversations that upset them in the first place rather than discuss moderation, but as a way of getting it back on topic, I'd be interested to read other peoples views on the most appropriate way of moderating the sort of conversations that are now going on on this thread?

And some just try and push to the limits and beyond. Not sure why but they just want to play devils advocate, as seen in this thread.

'My dead ancestor's better and harder than your dead ancestor'

What are you, ****ing 8? Get a grip. You're not special because you lost relatives in WWI. I can respect soldiers killed in WWI and black people at the same time. It's not hard.
