It's good for roses too, especially the new variant marxillium leftillius just added to my garden bright red with a yellow hue... I've put them in the shade where they belong
I went to a Blues club up Chapeltown Road one Sunday afternoon after the pubs had shut a good few years ago with a mate of mine, when we walked in we were the only honkies in there, I swear it went deathly quiet all I could hear was the sucking of teeth and words like bloodclaat and rasclaaat being whispered, I was looking for the tumbleweed to blow through the room. The jerk chiggun was nice It was better than the tranny bar before any of you bastards start
I'd say there's left wing and right wing bias all across the media, depending on where you look and what you want to see. I don't really read newspapers these days but I would certainly argue that there's a strong right wing bias in the press. You'll argue that the BBC is biased to the left, I'd say the opposite. That's politics.
I haven't a clue TBH , but any program that's on, be it fluffy day time shows to late night chat shows, to sports shows, seem to angle towards the left. IMO
But what do you mean by that ? Actual left wing politics ? Or just stuff you don't feel comfortable with, like black characters in Eastenders or same sex couples on Strictly ? Genuine question by the way Shaks, I'm not trying to provoke a reaction I'm just trying to understand where this point of view comes from.
To be fair you were probably rocking a Denis Waterman in The Sweeney vibe. Next time, try shaving your head and sucking on a lollipop to try and fit in a bit more
Haha ! One time (25 years or so ago) a mate and me were up for a match (we came up from that London) and we were staying in a b'n'b in Headingley. That night we decided to head off the beaten track and ended up in a pub where we were the only two white guys in there. We got loads of dodgy looks until after about twenty minutes one of the older guys came up to us and asked us if we were cops. When we explained we were just up here for the Leeds game they were fine after that.
Was it Chapletown. Same thing happened me and a mate in the 80s. Pre match, walked in to a club, looked around and only blacks. The only time I ordered a coke and left, but not before a couple of lads offered us drugs. Which we declined. The match was worse, a nil nill v Swindon and a long train and ferry trip back to Dublin.
Probably, but it was long after the match so we'd had plenty of pints by then having started at midday. Only thing I know for sure is we were playing Crystal Palace as my mate was (is) a Palace fan.
Possibly but thinking about it now it could have been even earlier than that. Got a couple of Palace mates and the Leeds v Palace game was one we always used to go up together since the old division 2 days (probably because I was the only one with a car). I know we didn't win anyway, they seemed to be a bogey side of ours back then and they gave me grief for years.
