I think that's what the big debate is about. Both the club and him want it to happen. They expect him to be confirmed as new manager before we play his hometown club Barnsley next game on Wednesday. In reality, that just gives them a long weekend to sort it all out.
Compared to colin, mick is a youngster. He's only 61. If he's named, we'll get behind him. As I said above, we'll get structure, organisation and motivation. Something that has been lacking. Hoping to see a bit more out of what we've got.
I'll go with that as well. Here to do a job, may well be short term and could well put a few noses out of joint along the way. To match his!!! If that's what it takes, then that's what it takes. Weren't most of the same things said about Warnock? That went fine for a couple of years. Give the guy a chance, support him and his team and see where that takes us.
We’ve mentioned before the amateur standard of WaIes IC journo’s but to be fair Abbadanato is a cut above the likes of Glen and Tom. Decent piece here: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...real-reasons-cardiff-city-appointing-19678334
A good read. My only issue was this bit. "Whatever, expect him to conduct a root and branch overview of the playing side, first team down to age-grade, and offer his own expertise as to the direction in which he feels Wales' capital city club should go." Isnt that what Colin did. Its back to the long term vision from the top (someone with football acumen - oops), if Micks "root and branches" points us in another direction, we've instantly lost a couple years with another 90 degree turn.
Was tempted to say best of a bad bunch but he really has been a class journo over the years. The best thing about his peices is that they are pretty factual, not just filling column space. His info at WOL also seems to be way ahead of the rest of his crew.
There doesn't seem a lot of love and positivity for big Mick on here.... Do I deduce from that, that the fans are somewhat underwhelmed?
Your deductive attributes are clearly unknown to us but he's a Bluebird now and unless he gives us real reasons not to, he has the full support of us all.
Again, what you deduce and what you perceive are things we can't help you with. I would however suggest that perceptions do not always equate to knowledge. Good luck in your cup game tomorrow
It's fuggin snowing here, just when you think it can't get any worse.hahahhaa. Skis for sale never used
In fairness, you're in the middle of transition and have suffered the loss of some key players. In my albeit uneducated eyes, you're doing quite well as a club. However, I am miffed that I've had a little wager on you being promoted for the last couple of seasons and you've fallen away each time. Maybe you'll make it this time.
Could be worse Robbie. I can remember Derby calling off a game against us because they mistook dandruff for snow! Hope you're keeping well and the legs aren't giving you too much aggro.
As predicted along comes Terry Connor. He must wait by his phone when he’s out of a job for Mick to call him to say right pack your bags you’re coming with me to ..........
Okay Big Mac in with a side order of Connor. A few days to get the players up and ready for the traditional dead cat bounce at Barnsley next week. That won't be easy but the new players will have had more time as well and Moore and Morrison in particular will have an extra week's training to get fully match fit. Morrison in particular looked drained second half v QPR. Good to see Clingo defending resolutely against the wind up from over the bridge. Well done that man.
