Does no one realise that the expectations of the fans and media are too high for what is a pretty average team and manager. No one could handle that kind of pressure.

i said on 606 after the world cup england should scrap the entire team and bring the entire under 21s up to senior level because in a few years later they whould have experience and be quite good however this never happend and im struggling what is wrong with the team at the moment and im sorry to say but i think it is down to the fans, because we and the press overhype the team based on there clubs and some games however some of the players play well aginst small teams in the premier league with the worlds best players at there side - there is to many leaders in the team and they are used to playing with different tactics and formations which is a big problem and i cant think of anything which they can do exept have a few training camps with the squad every year to get tactics together not just pick teams. Also prehaps publish a squad of 20 players every year which whould be in the squad and offer 5 more places to people who play well during the year (could take a squad of 15 to play against other international teams sometimes and pick 5?)
Happy with woeful football then. 3 draws in a group thats includes Montenegro, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Wales. It's the performances though. You cannot be happy with them. Your argument that we still qualified doesnt add up to much though. Because in the end we won't do anything. The same performances will prevail.
That won't happen. The media will latch onto the fact England went through the group unbeaten and they will expect more even though the group wasn't exactly the strongest.
Italy didnt survive an easy group on the worldcup and now have 2 draws against the likes of Northern Ireland France had its players having a fallout with the manager during the worldcup, refusing to play for their country, making insults etc. This qualifiers they lost at home to belarus and got 2 draws in away matches against belarus and rumania Its not just England that has it bad despite qualifying. Every great football nation has those days. Dont believe the hype the media create. England are a decent side, who are capable of getting to the QF or semi's, if lucky, but they wont win it.
ye never do ... ye should be used to it by now in fairness. england have been average for nearly 30 years but the media and sky build them up only to gloat in there downfall
