Seriously though it's been a nightmare since Brexit kicked in,think Stopme alluded to it and DHL don't help with their €14.50 "costs",ex-pats won't find it funny when they try and buy something from the UK, @monacoger to confirm.

 

It's a condition known as Gammon Goggles ... I work on the finance side for a very well known brand and we export both to the EU and around the world ... the new post Brexit landscape including the Rules of Origin minefield is literally costing us millions in additional costs (as it will for our competition) ... absolute carnage. Would have been bad enough without Covid... as it is, the UK economy is in a precarious state ...

 

I transferred some money the other day and the bank over here charged me €15. First time I have ever been charged in nearly 6 years. ****ing Brexit ****s.

I'm pleased it amused you, and gives you an opportunity to ignore the positive news in favour of the doom and gloom some seem intent on trying to find. Sadly, they don't put as much effort into suggesting realistic alternatives.

I feel very sorry for them, as they seem to desire misery, and carry it in their head 24/7. It really can't be a happy existence for them.

Their goal seems to be to spread their pointless depression around, to bore people away from talking about things.

The politics seems to be just an excuse they use to justify their own internal misery and depressive nature. It's probably made worse by the repeated failures, and the realisation that most other people do not live in as gloomy a place as them.

They seem to be waiting for a white knight to save them, as they have given up on taking responsibility for themselves. Mind you, they don't seem up to it anyway.
