    political threads are the same in the prem board, and always go the same way.

    Theres been loads who've left after "debates" in the politics threads over the years.

    Id blanket ban all of em if it was my choice.

    I liked 2020's dry, self-depracating sense of humour and irony - some of which went over people's heads. Got constant dogs abuse for being a 'lefty' but took most of it on the chin as banter. Occasionally dished it out. Shame he's gone.

    Personally in my experience of politics threads, especially on club boards... they always turn into some **** fest of them vs them and inevitably some leave for good after some bust up. Also people seem to be able to have a disagreement over football without that spilling into other threads and causing real grudges between posters, politics beefs tho.... They last a lifetime apparently <laugh>
    I mean if you wana talk politics sure there's forums for that too.

    Just my personal preference but I'd ban em all and anyone crying about censorship can go discuss politics on a forum about politics <laugh>

    Agree to a point mate, problem is the clashes can spill over onto all threads, that's when it becomes a problem.

    Sometimes that happens, but posters were moaning that some football threads were not talking about football. So that's why alternative threads were set up. I get bored talking about team formations for ten hours.
