6 losses (inc FA cup) on the bounce would usually result in a straight forward sacking but the board are hardly likely to sack him as they’ve sanctioned 2 signings plus possibly a loan for the Frenchman Will it be enough to (1) reverse our terrible run and (2) keep him in his job? IMO he’s here for the season regardless.
Ah, seen posts on Jack Simpson signing now. Agree with Nin's comment on Harris staying for the season.
Crikey this just can’t go on. Giving him money to bring in 2 lower league players suggests the board will stick with him (as I mentioned above) but anyone with any football knowledge must now see he’s got no tactical ability, his players are all over the place and the rot has sunk in so far he has to be replaced. The players need energising and coached competently. The difficulty is our board have at best a very limited football knowledge and understanding. He should go tonight and allow a new manager at least a few days and some proper money in the window period. Playing a diamond against a back 5 with no effective central midfield was pitiful to watch. What possessed him to play Bacuna out wide? Why is Vaulks in the team; he cannot pass a ball properly. Ralls just doesn’t go forward enough. We don’t pass forwards, it’s all slow and sideways. The basic footballing skills are just not there, no pace, drive and creativity just aimless high balls from the back and the midfield. For the sake of the club the Board must get rid of Harris and Livermore.
Sparkey...if he gets the supervisor of the vegetable section, we might have a chance. Then again he might be too costly. In which case Masky can have the job....he's good with vegetables apparently.
What's this I see before me, a sense of humour breaking through the clouds of doom and gloom ? Keep it up lads, laughter is STILL the best elixir, especially the self deprecating kind. Things always look differently, and it's still only a game. If Tan still needs the odd Nectar point, he can have the 25 I've got. No long term interest repayment involved. Call it a gift.
Yes indeed, I'm with you there Vetch. It's in times like these especially after last night's debacle that I told the wife we must keep our spirits up. So she sent Tan out of Sainsbury's with 2 bottles of Talisker Skye.
Is he still trying to use those Green Shield stamps he found when they opened the safe at Ninian Park? Those were the days. Players contracts 12/6 per week plus Green Shield stamp bonus for winning. And you try telling these young upstarts today and they don't believe it.
I can relate to some of those conditions. No electricity, large inefficient coal fire which provided zero heat unless you were sitting on it, no bathroom, wc up the garden, outside tap, freezing house in winter, hot water bottle, candles to light my way upstairs, no tv, steam radio, etc., etc. My kids thought I was winding them up when I described my upbringing. I never went hungry, though.
