Can't complain about the line-up, that's exactly what I would have gone for.

Hopefully, we'll get a chance to see Dan Crowley at some point in the second half.

I'm presuming Emmanuelle has a niggle. You'd bloody hope thats the reason.

Yes, harsh I know (and I'm happy with either), but I think with two young centre backs it's good to have a bit more of a leader in the back line.

On reflection, there is one I'd change though, I'd have Ingram in goal.

I think with three games in a week, he’ll want keeping fresh for the weekend. You wouldn’t drop him otherwise, but with so many games it’s wise to rotate to avoid increased injury risk.

Can't understand why he persists with Long tbf .. we look a much more composed outfit with Ingram behind the defence . Long always strikes me as a panicker and I'm sure that transfers to the defence. Be interesting as well to see with young KLP if he is played out wide or through the middle .. and if he is in the middle if the ball will stick with him.

I think harsh on Emmanuel but agree with the comment that Coyle brings a bit more experience alongside 2 relatively inexperienced Centre Backs which could be useful. Think Long still has something to prove. Ingram made a few critical saves in games we won narrowly before Christmas.

First HullCity game I ever saw. 1958 or 59 at Boothferry Park was against Accrington Stanley. My dad took me and we stood just to the right of the goal at the North Stand End. Im sure we won 2-1, Billy Bly was in goal.
Hope it's a good omen for tonight!

I’ve just been reading up about Dan Crowley. It appears he’s a young man that doesn’t lack for self confidence!

hope this hasn't been posted already. been watching some dundalk footage because of jordan flores. dundalk won the fai cup recently. the footage below shows the goals from the semi-final against athlone town. it's not a normal score for a cup semi-final. flores scored the penultimate goal. athlone finished second last in the second tier and had beaten the second flight team that finished last and the team that finished second last in the top division en route to the semi, scoring 9 goals in the two games.

Thanks for the confirmation. It was Good Friday and a lovely sunny day. Stood near a family from Accrington, the lady kept giving me sweets. Bet that doesn't happen much these days.

That’s a shocking miss from Wilks. No pressure on him at all.
