We are now 3rd. We have to win tomorrow and we will. Any other result we may see ourselves in 5th when all weekend matches are played.
Still confident that we will shut those manc fans up. They have not been beaten any big 6 clubs this season.
Does not compute. Error. Please stand by. Error. Your logic has broken me. The fact that no stop side side has beaten them means we will can only lead to the conclusion that we are not a top 6 side this year
You're right though, he looks a player and that's only his second game for us. Became less effective after his booking and second foul where they were screaming for a red though.
Talking of screaming... I have to laugh at commentators routinely apologising for any "inappropriate language" we might have heard during a game. It's a football match, with grown-ups, there's no crowd to drown it out, and they've left mics strewn all over the place. I wonder what they expect? "I say, referee - that was jolly unfair of you. I suggest you obtain a good pair of spectacles to help you in your deliberations."
The thing that makes me laugh about that is that I don't ever recall an apology being made for fans swearing. Good example being the 2nd leg semi at your place when you could clearly hear 4000 Saints fans singing to Lovren "I wanna knoooooooooowwww, why you're such a ****!" You think a warning pre game would be enough.
We often played on pitches next to kids games. Always tried to be careful but I inevitably got told off several times every single week You just can't separate the two, it's impossible if you have any level of passion for the game. PS... you could hear some kids swearing too btw
Don’t get the big issue with swearing anyway. It’s a word... words do nothing. It’s only bad because we’ve decided it’s bad.
Good parenting overrides what they hear anyway. I've said every swear word you can think of in front of my kids (frustration can get the better of us all) but you won't get any of them swearing though. My partner's sister even tried bribing them before just to see if they'd break, they didn't
Heaven forfend that we should get into a philosophical discussion on a footie forum, but that's true of all ethical issues. Our moral and ethical framework is built on consensus. It's never "just a word" - words have meaning.
