Got a sneaky feeling we could win this one Not sure if that's because some players are coming back from injury, or blind optimism following a win on Saturday, or that Peterborough's form hasn't been that much better than ours in the last few weeks. Probably a bit of all three...
The last 135 minutes have been an improvement it seems. It could be the beginning of a run. Either way, this is a game against a team that will be around the play offs so it is important to not lose.
What could have happened at H/T in the Rochdale game? Was it just the fact that we had a balanced team with square pegs in square holes or has something else happened? I always liked the way Bowyer conducted himself until he started public naming and shaming of players, maybe that was just a blip, lockdown makes people behave in strange ways. If we continue our improvement in midfield especially we can go on a decent run, especially if Famewo is back soon.
I'll admit I was getting a bit worked up myself a month or two back, when I thought Thomas Sandgaard wanted promotion and nothing less this season. But TS has recently backed Bowyer, and so far our new owner has not said one word that's proved to be false. TS seems to be willing to give LB and his staff every reasonable chance to get it right - if not this season then next, when fans will be back. It's great to have a decent owner again We haven't had such potential to improve since we dropped out of the Premiership.
The thought has occurred to me, but Nick and I go back a long way, so I probably won't. Life is too short for internet spats, this is my first and last one.
Pearce has looked a liability for a while in defence so I hope he doesn't walk straight back in. Saturday wasn't perfect, but it was a huge improvement so not too much tinkering would be a plus. I'll be hoping for avwin tonight so here's dreaming of a 2-1 win.
Unfortunately I have to miss this one, first I've missed since TS bought the club. I think he might revert to starting with Bogle up front, he did ok when he came on, Schwartz and Aneke to come on at some point depending on how the game is going. JF-C has been a revelation and should stay at def-mid, so Shinnie for Morgan should be the only other change.
Probably will, JFC to move further forward. I'd be OK with that, our defence always looks solid with Pratley in front of them.
If the new improved attacking play of the last 135 minutes continues we won't have to rely so much on the front two alone for goals. We were getting midfielders into the box a lot more on Saturday. Bogle did miss his usual sitter, but some of his other play was quite decent I thought.
This is the first match that I will be free to tune in to, but I have been put off by the reintroduction of the kneeling ritual. I would not be able to enjoy the game after watching it. I agree with those who believe that Pratley will come into defensive midfield and push JFC forwards. I hope he isn't put into the back four, we seem exposed when he plays there.
