I suppose there's a slim chance its fits through very late in Jan and they've already got targets to bring inast min rush, but I think Ashley will just get the loans in to keep us up and then fingers crossed

 

When Bruce leaves- if we appoint someone high profile then it is confirmation.

If Rafa comes back then that is confirmation of an imminent change. He is the manager that the consortium wanted. He would never work under Ashley again.

 

It'll be him but I just don't know if Bruce can keep us up

 

I strongly believe Mark Hughes has been contacted about the Newcastle job

He is very outspoken. He fell out with Stoke over transfer funds.

 

Please god no, not another ****ing journeyman on a rescue mission. These ****s (Hughes, Allardyce, Pulis et al) are stealing a ****ing living at this now. I bet when you add up all of their respective contracts over the years you'd probably find that they've been out of work longer than they've been in work.....and still earned very handsomely from it!

Ultimately much of this is pointless, right? I mean, we all know that Ashley will make a bad decision. I'd imagine even HE is sick of making bad decisions, but he seems incapable of anything else.

There's two scenarios in my mind. 1) Takeover happens rapidly in the next 2-3 weeks, Rafa is immediately installed as boss. 2) We plummet further towards relegation, Bruce is then replaced by Pearson on a short term deal.

Pearson's the only available manager that would work in really crap circumstances. He's certainly arrogant enough to think he could do a good enough job even if a takeover then happened. And he's always been "head coach", so is more in keeping with Ashley's needs.
