Hummel. Not impressed with the new kit supplier. I have an order that has just been cancelled no refund yet either. Awful service.
Dan said in his write up that UA are moving away from team sponsorships so both parties probably quite happy to negotiate an early break. They did us favours when the kit debacle was taking place by letting us break the deal to make a knock-off so I don’t think it’s a big deal.
I hope so as I recently purchased it!... https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/878261230/southampton-8789-retro-home-shirt?ref=yr_purchases It was only 30 notes when I ordered it before Xmas.
Would love it to be like this one as well... southampton_1989sept-1990.gif (150×263) (historicalkits.co.uk) One of my faves ever.
Happy with this. Love their chevrons. No mention anywhere yet of how much this is worth to us per year?
To be fair to Under Armour in terms of kit design they have gone out on a high with this season. The sash kits are the best kits we have had since, well probably the last sash kits.
As long as they are paying good money I couldn't give a damn who our sponsors are as we are in desperate need of funds to service our growing debt
I still don’t like having a gambling company. I understand the money point, but it’s not what I’d like. Moral high ground and all that.
It was only a one season deal wasn't it? Hopefully we're rid of it next season. Think we've done this before on here but I'd like to see it banned tbh.
All football clubs will be struggling to balance the books after the losses due to Covid, so, whilst in theory, I agree about have a gambling company as a sponsor, we may not be able to be precious about it.
I understand that Fran. I’m with Libby though, I believe it should be banned. I really didn’t like it when Le Tiss and his gang on Sky started doing the adverts. For Football watchers, they were iconic and a big part of following the sport. I’m glad I ditched it. Going back further, I lost a little respect for Ray Winstone when he became one of the first faces of gambling. He hardly needed the money.
