Morning all Overcast again. I do wish the sun would try harder to break through. According to the meteo the days are getting around three minutes longer, but you would be hard pressed to notice much change yet. I have been looking at the gardens and allotments of the keen gardeners and it is clear that like me outside preparation for the season has not started. Too wet and cold to do much outside, but another few weeks and it will be all go again. Have a good day whatever you can do.
Greetings from a chilly, snowy and sunny yorkshire...... We did not notice but we had a big tree go down under the snow yesterday.... missed a shed by inches thankfully..... so a lot of sawing to come. We were in the house feet way and heard nothing! This has been one of the biggest snowfalls for some years here. We have had about 8 inches.
Got a nice, and unexpected, surprise from Sky delivered this morning. After renewing our phone, tv and broadband contract earlier ths week, the nice man decided that we needed a new router, so sent us one. Having installed it, I'm pleased to see that our download speed has increased from around 40mbs to 75mbs. Can't complain, especially as the new contract sees our monthly charge drop £5 too...
Nice phone call this evening from an old band mate that I haven't seen in a few years, totally out of the blue and unexpected. Just catching up was all. Put a big smile on my face for the evening.
Morning all. Sunshine and snow flurries forecast for today, but no sign of the sun so maybe no snow. One of my English friends who is a home help, visiting several elderly folk each day, received her vaccination yesterday. It seems to have got going quite slowly here, but now is working its way through the people receiving care and those who are looking after them. Just waiting for the call now to get ours, although seeing very few people we don't feel to be at a great risk. Have a good three points day.
Good day here.. Some melt here this morning... Local bread coop van delivered our great sour dough bread and almond croissants.. The best...
Miserable weather here in Leafy Bucks. Cold is fine, but the humidity that comes with it is a bit naughty. Mrs Fez had steak for breakfast! god help me for the rest of the day!! She's weaning her way off the painkillers, might even have glass of wine tomorrow. Two forward, half a pace back. Biopsy results hopefully next week. Hopeful that if there was bad news to be had then we would have heard by now. We'll see. Have a grand day, folks.
Morning all. Sunshine at last! It is interesting to read that in the schools here the number of coughs and colds that are normal amongst the pupils at this time of year is very much reduced. All of the students have to wear masks throughout the day, apart from lunch time of course, and it has contained all of the sneezing into the air. Will mask wearing become the norm in winter? Have a good day whatever you intend to do.
Afternoon all. Just back from a 45 minute walk around the village - giving this day my In-Laws their daily bread - absolutely staggering how many people are out and about. To be fair people were keeping their distance and being mindful of each other.
Morning all. A beautiful blue sky and sunshine. Stand in the sun and you can feel the heat from it, although still quite chilly in the shade. Back to shredding all the stems I cut down from the buddleias several weeks ago. The weather has not been good enough to want to stand around for long outside, but feeling like getting some fresh air today. Have a good day whatever you are doing.
Had a phone call from NHS this morning telling me to go to my local Doctors Surgery for my first jab at 18-58 Was back home at 19-25, they had 400 in two hours just like a factory production line Just waiting for the after effects, so far no hunger for human flesh so all good
