In the meantime, just honour the terms of his current contract and play him!! McCann talks about the importance of "being fair to the players, the fans ,the club, blah blah". How about being fair to KLP. What they are doing to him is totally unfair (and vindictive, childish, immoral even). I know it's probably out of McCann's hands. But don't spout about "being fair to ....". So frustrating to have **** owners and a **** manager.
Judging by McCann, KLP just wants to play for City, the whole situation is getting too drawn out and messy. I hope it can be resolved this week.
I’m warming to Terry. He’s a thoroughly decent fella but he’s way way too open and honest in interviews.
You would indeed Chazz. Quoted the players he brought in under Bruce. Amazing scout. Also signed Ian Wright and Gaza in his day. Basically he said papa was a lovely bloke but Ehab and Bruce fell out over a left back signing and then cut off contact with Bruce leading eventually to Bruce going.Stan couldn’t understand why anyone would commit premier league suicide like Ehab did.
terry's blaming everyone but the instigator for klp not starting games at the moment. GRANT! IT'S EHAB THAT INVENTED THE STUPID RESTRIOTION! EHAB, YOU STUPID BASTARD, WE'VE DROPPED 15 POINTS IN SEVEN GAMES DUE TO YOUR ARSEWIPE ****WITTERY. STOP PLAYING GAMES, YOU USELESS NEGOTIATOR, THEN PACK YOUR BAGS AND GET OUT OF OUR LIVES. IF WE MISS AUTOMATIC BY TEN POINTS IT'LL BE YOUR FAULT ALONE.
I thought generally any engagement between an agent and club would have to be agreed with the player? I’m not a big fan of agents (most seem like parasites) and if there was an alternative, then it should be explored.
Simplistic view. Is it not cheaper to drop the extra year clause, get KLP to sign and pay him the agreed increased money. Surely that's less expensive than buying a new striker. If KLP does well, he is more valuable and we might just go up this time.
I posted in Oct/Nov re. McCann’s repeated post match comments about ‘not taking our chances’ and he’s still coming out with the same excuse. In the same post I commented on the ‘lack of a genuine goal scorer at this level’ like Clarke-Harris and the urgency to buy one. Surely he can see this with one league win in 7/8. If Ehab wants promotion why is the club ‘biting off its nose to spite its face’ by not starting the only natural goal scorer in the squad and field a front 3 of Whyte, KLP and Wilks. Maybe the answer is that Ehab has had a privileged upbringing and has always got his own way which is manifesting itself when things don’t go the way he believes it should and would rather stick to his dogmatic beliefs than be seen to accept submission.
Not all the time, agents will go out and try to engineer moves for players ( to the agents benefit ) they player obviously has to agree to said move, but normally they are heavily pushed in a certain direction in those cases. In KLPs case it's been clear from the start that the agent has only been interested in one thing and as GM has said, he's actually now bringing offers into the club to try and force a move. The only loser in all of this is KLP and his career. He's being really poorly looked after!
Simplistic response....the club backs down and agrees, all agents and players see that and feel they can potentially do the same. It's not something the club wants or should do
Doubt we would have beaten them with 11 men. City failed to defend a set piece. How many times have we seen that? We are supposed to have 2 coaches who were defenders and should be able to eliminate that. Game after game we have seen poor teams overcome our defence. It is on almost every thread our young attacking players need coaching. These coaches cannot get the defence organised so little chance they can coach the attack. Whyte had a good games today but probably because he is new and thought wingers were supposed to play like that, will be interesting to see how long that lasts with the coaching he is goin* to receive
Are there stats to back that up? Because if it’s true, and we are one of the divisions leading scorers, then our chance creation rate must be astronomical. And I’m not sure that’s actually true.
I agree that its not ideal from the clubs standpoint, but the impasse needs to be resolved quickly as its gone on too long. We are not spoilt for choice or doubt we have the money or salary cap space to make a decent signing. KLP is young and has potential, but his career could go either way. We could benefit short term with goals and then a bigger sell on fee as we did with Bowen.
I agree I'm not convinced Wilks would be so effective down the middle, the reason been he likes to bully a bit and is strong on the ball something which isn't so easy against a big CB. He does a good job of it against most full backs. He did have one really good game down the middle but not so other times. The forwards we have still have a big part to play but I've said it for ages i really feel that we need an alternative type of forward. Someone with good movement who is quick off the mark over that first yard to get in front of the defender especially when you have quality crosses coming into the box that Whyte put in today. Now finding the right player which could make such a difference is the hard bit.
If KLP is being badly advised, and that or may not be right, that STILL doesn’t excuse the act of crazy self-harm that is refusing to start Keane when we need his goals. Ehab is literally paying the wages of Whyte to avoid giving KLP a pay rise, which I’d be fairly certainly is the smaller amount of the two. Allamonomics.
It absolutely needs to be 'resolved quickly'.Whatever way it's destined to work out it needs sorting this week. It's not fair on the lad,it's not fair on the fans and it's detrimental to team formation/selection....Hopefully this whole saga can be tied up one way or another and we get to know where we stand.I wouldn't like to see him go but 'if' this agent is trying to **** Allam over the bonnet then it's inevitable that KLP will be the one who'll suffer and we'll move on minus a decent young player,if some sort of compromise can be agreed then everyone can move on together.
As has been repeatedly said this is about length of contract. Why shouldn’t the club get that for all the development theyve done with him?
Did I hear the manager say something about potential for a forward coming in 'hopefully the beginning of next week' or was that Crowley?
